The space We have 2 suites with very different decor, please let us know your preference! The Parade Room: When you walk through the doors of the Parade room, you are transported to the "grand century". Here the purple red and gilded decorations embody this period of splendor, personified by the reign of the Sun King, whose portrait you can see accompanied by Marie Thérèse and the Dauphin. Edmond De Fieu, the owner at the time, wanted to modernize the castle and being very well placed at the Court, he had the means to richly decorate his room, hence the name of the Parade room. The original four-poster bed offers a remarkable view of the magnificent fireplace finely decorated with above, a painting painted on wood depicting Aeneas carrying his father Anchises during the fall of Troy. Then, as you walk around the room, you can discover all the many details that decorate this room: the recently restored door tops, the tapestry, the canvas on the ceiling of the alcove "l'Aurore" representing Apollo on his chariot, as well as many other features that reflect the Art of Living of the 17th century. The Louis XVI suite: Imagine yourself in the time of the Enlightenment, a time of profound upheavals and illustrious characters such as Rousseau, Voltaire or Mariveaux, Montesquieu and Beaumarchais. Imagine yourself in a salon, listening to prose and verse in a peaceful and refined atmosphere conducive to reverie. At that time, the art of living and entertaining was transformed. People no longer received guests in their bedrooms, as was the custom in the 17th century. A new room appeared: the living room. This peculiarity, which has become the norm over time, precedes the bedroom. Both rooms are decorated with different decorations and colors. Two atmospheres in a beautiful harmonious ensemble. This suite was very finely decorated in 1777 by its owner at the time, Charles Leblond, who was in the service of Monsieur, the Count of Provence, Brother of Louis XVI. Guest access During your stay you will have access to your room as well as all the outdoor areas of the estate. Guests can enjoy the gardens and the 22-hectare park.
