Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Set beneath the Serra da Lousã, Quinta do Areal is an historic country house and farm set in over 12 hectares of pasture, forest and olive groves. Guests come here to relax, slow down and recharge. Come and meet some of the animals. Take a hike in the hills. Visit the local schist mountain villages. The space The cottage sits beside the main house and used to be the housekeeper's house. It has the charm of a rustic cottage but restored with modern luxury. The first bedroom is large, with king-size bed (which can be set up as twin) plus a sofa bed. The second bedroom is smaller and has a small double bed. It has a private bathroom, with walk-in shower. And it has a combined kitchen, living room, dining room with induction hob, microwave oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee and tea making equipment and flatscreen TV. Fast WIFI throughout. Air conditioning. Guest access Once checked in, guests have access via the main gate and their own entrance. Guests also have access to their own garden area but are welcome to wander around the gardens and fields. Other things to note Guests have access to our outside pool in the warmer months. Subject to availability, guests may like to book into one of our yoga classes or to hire our electric mountain bikes to explore the wonderful trails in the Serra da Lousã.
