This bunkie is perfect for 2 if you want a romantic getaway or bring the kids and sleep up to 4. It is a hidden gem located just a short 9 min drive from the beach town of Port Burwell which boasts Scoops Eatery, an LCBO, a variety store with fuel/snacks, a pier, a park, and a provincial park. The space Our bunkie was built to first accommodate our family of 5 and to give us a space to retreat to and relax as a family, but is also a space we’d like to share with you! It is located back in the woods on our second farm and is a unique space to immerse yourself into nature. It's the perfect base camp for exploring the surrounding beauty of Lake Erie and all the beach towns have to offer OR just a space to relax onsite. The bunkie sits just inside the forest, complete with its own outdoor fire pit area, outhouse, covered deck with an egg chair and a food prep space and 22 in table top blackstone grill for cooking, a small pond, and the most beautiful view of the sunset. The bunkie itself features a lounge/couch area (which transforms into a double bed), a table that has room for 2, a cabinet that holds games, a few books and puzzles for your entertainment- as well as a queen bed up in the loft, with a great view of the pond. The outdoor prep space under the covered deck is perfect for preparing your meals or serving snacks. A large blue water jug will be provided to use for cooking, dishes and drinking etc. You will need to treat this as a sleeping space only. Anything you will need for cooking, etc. will need to be brought from home. You will need to bring coolers and ice to keep your food cold and fresh as there is not enough solar power to run a refrigerator. Your stay at Bunkie in the FOLK includes: - solar power (enough to charge your phone and power the light while you are in the bunkie- please turn OFF when you go outside) - mini woodstove and mini firewood - bedding for both beds - 22 in. propane Blackstone grill - 1 blue jug of drinking water - 1 roll of toilet paper - hand sanitizer - board games/books/puzzles - free parking space for multiple vehicles The bunkie boasts a mini woodstove for cooler nights in fall and spring. We are open 3 seasons. Spring, Summer, and Fall. Weather is unpredictable, so we suggest checking out the forecast before your stay and coming prepared for all weather to make your stay more comfortable. You’ll need to treat this as a glamping/camping experience where the beds are provided but everything else will need to be provided by you. :) Absolutely NO SMOKING/VAPING, etc. is permitted inside the bunkie. If you need to light up, please walk quite a distance from the bunkie so that the smell stays outside. Thank you. Guest access You have access to the entire bunkie, the surrounding open area and the small pond that's located directly beside the bunkie. :) Other things to note In the spring and fall season, mosquitoes and black flies are often out. We suggest bringing a light jacket, bug spray/patches, a mosquito net or a thermacell to better enjoy the outdoors. The cell service out here can be a bit spotty if you are with a Bell network provider. Be aware that this is a secluded and off grid experience. Absolutely NO smoking, vaping, e-cigarettes, marijuana, or any type of substance inside the bunkie. If you feel the need, please go away from the bunkie altogether so the smell stays outside and into an open space and clean up your cigarette butts please. Thank you!
