Other things to note Accommodation guidelines To ensure you and other guests have an enjoyable stay, please respect the following guidelines. 3 guests maximum, one queen bed and a drop down couch. Check-in after 3:00 PM Checkout before 11:00 AM Self-check-in with door code. No pets allowed. (Please contact to discuss) No parties or events. We live in Costa Rica and so do many insects, please do not leave food on the counter or floor that may invite unwanted guests. No smoking in the studio. - Smoking permitted outside away from the building. - Please use plastic glasses and dishes around the pool area. - Be respectful to your fellow guests, no loud music please. Listening to music is fine if kept at a reasonable volume. Quiet time at the pool is 10pm. Currency Costa Rica Currency is Colones (CRC), (USD) Dollars are also widely accepted in Costa Rica. You can exchange currency at both the airports, however if you are looking for a better rate you can also exchange it at any of the Costa Rica Banks. Don’t forget to bring your original passport with you, ATM’s are throughout Costa Rica and are in English and Spanish allowing withdrawals in both CRC (Costa Rica Colones) and USD (US Dollars). Most businesses in Playas del Coco accept major credit cards. Electrical Services Costa Rica provides the same electrical services as North America, 110 volts. If travelling from North America, you will not need a converter or adapter. Tap Water Tap water in most of Costa Rica is generally considered safe to drink, bottled water is widely available to purchase. Beaches There are many beaches to choose from in the area, every beach is uniquely different, black, brown and white sand beaches can be found in our area. Local Supermarkets Popular among tourist, Automercado Supermarket is located on Main Street. There are several other competitively priced options in Coco as well. If you decide to buy a SIM Card which is a very affordable option for a week or extended stay, there are places to purchase SIM cards here in Playas del Coco.
