Hawthorn Cottage, Dartmoor

This cosy, romantic retreat for two is the perfect place for exploring Dartmoor or watching the sun go down at Fernworthy. The cottage has everything you need - a comfy sitting room with wood burner, large sofa , Smart TV and cool kitchen. It is furnished with an eclectic mix of old and new. Upstairs is a cosy bedroom, which has a king size bed where you can lie and look over the trees. The downstairs bathroom has a luxury roll top bath, bath robes and luxury toiletries. The space The cottage is very cosy and has a lovely atmosphere. It is furnished to a very high standard with a mixture of antiques, antique art and stylish new pieces. (Please note we now have a much larger and comfy sofa than shown in the photo). The fully equipped kitchen as a lovely breakfast bar where you can enjoy meals looking over the garden and fields or there is a dining table near the woodburner in the sitting room. The rooms are generous and there are lots of little extras like comfy chairs or place to write to catch up on e-mails. The cottage has been fully refurbished by the owners but retains its character. Upstairs the bedroom has plenty of space, with built in wardrobe, comfy bed with topper, electric blanket for chilly nights, seek and comfy armchair, etc. All the little extras are thought of from Nespresso pods, scented candles and luxury toiletries to make you feel welcome. Guest access There is a large garden with lawn and another seating area to enjoy the peace. The owners prefer you to utilise the cottage space. Other things to note Two baskets of logs are provided free of charge and more are available at an extra charge.
