1941 WWII Douglas DC-3 Airliner. Flown by the United States Marines for military transport services between Guam, Midway, and Pearl Harbor. Retrofit for overnight comfort with A/C, heat, bathroom, shower, kitchen with outside deck and grilling area, and campfire pit set amongst the trees alongside a private lake with dock. Sleeps four comfortably. Sit in the fully restored, lit cockpit, and feel what it was like to fly one of the most iconic aircraft ever built! The space Open floor plan with private bathroom. Walkout deck overlooking the lake with a grill, dining set, and additional patio set to enjoy the view. Guest access Guests are welcome to explore the property. The lake to the right of the driveway as you approach the plane has a fire pit and walkout dock. There are chairs and log bench seating. Catch and release, except for bass. Feel free to bring a boat, canoe, or kayak (no boat landing or motorized boats.) Please note there is not a beach area along the shore. *Guests swim in the lake at their own risk. Other things to note If you are flying into the Langlade County Airport, please let us know, and we'll have a car there for you to use during your stay. Visit our guidebook under our Airbnb listing for local recommendations on nearby beaches, trails, restaurants, shopping, and more. Guests supply their own firewood. Propane is provided for the grill. All kitchen and bath towels are on the shelves behind the cockpit. The heads of all beds are made to face the cockpit. Cleaning supplies, paper products, garbage bags, and the broom can all be found in the closet behind the shower. During winter months the driveways will be plowed and under the plane, a shovel and salt are provided.
