Description
Beautiful, completely renovated dream house in 83135 Schechen am Inn, district of Rosenheim in Upper Bavaria. The idyllic Erlensee lake is in the immediate vicinity. To the bus 1 minute, train nearby, a few minutes to Rosenheim and 45 minutes to Munich. The house has three bedrooms, a balcony and a very spacious bathroom, two WCs. There is also a fully equipped open-plan kitchen, leading into the bright living/dining area, with conservatory and adjoining terrace overlooking the garden. The space In 2022/23, we bought this special little house from our former neighbors Michael and Krescentia Bayr, which we therefore call "Abrahams Bayr Cottage", renovated and furnished with much love and care. We have partially redesigned the interior, added the bay window and the high terrace. The house was thus saved from the demolition that everyone was calling for. Built by the Bayr family in 1935, it stood empty for 20 years. In the 1990s, Franz Abraham's mother, Mrs. Rosi Abraham (born 1937), acquired the company, based on Tannenweg 4 (built by her parents in 1936), where she still lives today, gradually took over the entire area from Tannenweg 2 to 8. to finally bequeath it to her two sons, whereby Tannenweg 4 and 6 went to Franz Abraham. We have renovated or thoroughly restored almost everything, placing particular emphasis on authentic historical building materials. For example, the spruce floorboards on the first floor, which are over 100 years old, come from a schoolhouse in Bernried on Lake Starnberg and the famous Solnhofer tiles in the corridor come from a farmhouse in the Allgäu. Despite the extensive renovations, we have preserved the substance and the unique character of the house - from the faithfully restored balcony (blasted with dry ice and then oiled), the original doors and door fittings and the wonderful, insulating yet airy box-type windows to the shutters and roof truss ornaments. Since July 2023, the beautiful little house has once again been a welcoming home waiting to be revitalized with new stories and memories.
