Other things to note 🔥 Fireplace Safety & Use Instructions This home is equipped with a functional wood-burning stove insert. For your safety and comfort, please follow these instructions carefully. Before Starting a Fire • Open the damper/flue fully before lighting any fire. • The damper controls airflow to the chimney. • If the damper is closed or partially closed, smoke can enter the home. • Ensure there is adequate airflow to the surrounding living space. • Never light a fire if you are unsure whether the damper is open. During Use • Use only firewood provided. • Do not overload the fireplace. • Keep the fire attended at all times. • Keep children and flammable items a safe distance away. • If smoke enters the room, extinguish the fire immediately, open windows/doors for ventilation, and contact the host. After Use • Allow the fire to burn out completely. • Ensure embers are fully extinguished before leaving the area or going to sleep. • Do not dispose of hot ashes indoors.
