The Canyon Cottage

Escape to this serene canyon retreat. Our charming home offers 2 bedrooms, 2 baths in the main house, and a one-room cottage known as the "birdhouse” just below the main house with its own indoor half bath and outdoor shower. Relax amidst lush greenery and enjoy the melodies of birds throughout the day. Grill or make pizzas in our outdoor wood burning oven under the stars. Explore scenic trails in the surrounding areas and come home to reconnect with your loved ones in this tranquil oasis. The space Our cozy 2 bed, 2 bath cottage has a kitchen and living room. Below the main house is a private one room, half bath, and outdoor shower. We call this space ‘the birdhouse’. The birdhouse has a pull out sofa that can be made into a bed before you arrive. If not used as a bedroom the space can be used as a family room or yoga space with games, guitar, and yoga mat provided. Our home is experienced both indoors and outdoors with deck being equal to square footage as the house. On the deck you can enjoy alfresco dinning along with a place to lounge with friends and family. In addition we also provide an outdoor kitchen, grill, and pizza oven. If you’re unfamiliar with how to use the pizza oven, we’d love to come by and teach you how. Wood and a pizza peel provided! We offer two desk, one in each bedroom in the main house. The birdhouse can be an informal flex space for taking meetings but does not have a desk. Laundry and dryer provided in the detached garage accessible from the backyard. Beach towels provided, please do not take bath towels off property. sunscreen and bug spray provided for your stay. Guest access Guest have access to the main house the birdhouse and the detached garage for laundry. Other things to note Safety and expectations: Quiet hours are between 10pm and 9am to be courteous to our neighbors. Because we live in a canyon, voices travel and are louder than you think. Have fun and socialize but please be mindful of your volume as you engage with others in this space. We live amongst nature which means we have many different types of wildlife that come up from the canyon. If you have pets please keep them safe by not letting them roam the property after dark and by keeping them inside when you go in for the night. Please do not leave your dog outside when you’re gone and if they are anxious we can provide a crate for the safety and wellness of your fur babe. The deck is fenced except for behind the grill. Though our home is child friendly, the property is situated on a hill and requires children supervision at all times. There is a treehouse down the hill behind the outdoor kitchen. This area has not been maintained and is off limits to guest. To access the third room you must go down stairs and the flagstone is a bit uneven as you pass the fire pit so please watch your step.
