Stowe Farmhouse is a private, light-filled two-bedroom apartment—with beautiful touches of Vermont from days past—well located, and perfect for a getaway. A side entrance welcomes you to this lovely apartment, situated privately in a triplex home. The main floor is home to the living room, which is wonderful with great furnishings, loads of windows for natural light, an area rug, and even a card table. The adjacent well-equipped kitchen is roomy and home to a long farmhouse table—great for gathering for meals (and easy clean up, too!). A new 55" hdr Smart Roku tv provides plenty of entertainment. A large deck is made for relaxing with a barbecue grill, outdoor dining, reclining chairs—kick back under the milky way at night! —and views of the Little River in the backyard. Both bedrooms and one shared bath are on the upper level of the home. The twin-bedded room and primary bedroom make it ideal for a small family or friends traveling together. There is also a Queen sleeper sofa in the living room for another cherished guest or two. Throughout this historic home (circa 1854), the warm wide pine floors are a testament to the craftsmanship well over a century ago and updates that have been made were done so with careful attention. The Moscow Road address of this home means there are several directions you can take to get where you are going—a real bonus in the high season (Stowe Mountain Resort is a 15-minute drive). Immediate neighbors include local artisans and just down the road is the Moscow Recreation Area with volleyball pitches and access to the Little River—this is a favorite put in spot for tubing in the summer when the river is just right! For mountain biking and hiking enthusiasts, Cottonbrook, Trapps Outdoor Center, Cady Hill, Nebraska Valley, and Dumont Meadow are all just minutes away and the hopping little village of Stowe is less than three miles. A great homebase for any kind of adventure! *Please note this unit has a steep staircase with narrow stairs that may not be suitable for younger children or the elderly.
