Reindeer Cabin

Welcome to stay with us close to the river in beautiful Poikkijärvi, a 15 minute car ride from Kiruna and 20 minute walk to Ice Hotel. We offer a unique living experience with reindeers outside your window (approx. Dec 15th-Apr 1st) in a quiet and calm village. A very good location for looking at northern lights. We also offer a relaxing experience in a traditional wood fired sauna. For more details of our listing, please read the complete description before booking! The space Reindeers on the yard between middle of December until beginning of April usually, depending on the weather. Meet and greet included! The cottage contains a smaller kitchen with basic kitchen supplies (Dolce Gusto Coffee machine with capsules provided, sandwich grill, toaster, gas stove, utensils), a fireplace and a 140cm double bed. Bedsheets and towels provided. Shower supplies also available for free. Please note: Running cold water in cabin (it is drinkable). Warm water can be retreived in the shower. Our other listing “The glass cone” lies close to the cabin, separated by a path down to the frozen river and small wall. Shower, toilet (incineration toilet) and sauna in separate building next to the cabin. This building is shared with other guests who live in our other listing “The glass cone”. The sauna will be available for booking in separate time slots for a completely private experience! Guest access Shower, toilet (incineration toilet) and sauna in separate building next to cottage. Private traditional wood-fired sauna, can be used for free. Free parking space on the yard. Snow shoes available free of charge. Reindeer feeding session included at designated times together with other guests! Other things to note We have a dog that is very friendly, she mostly runs freely on the yard but we can take her inside if you are scared of dogs. Just let us know before arriving .
