Welcome to the Cabin at the Hounds of Erie Winery – your home-away-from-home glamping experience in beautiful Clear Creek, Ontario! This wonderful site is nestled away behind our vineyard and is bordered by forest on one side, and a cornfield on the other. The site is accessible by an agricultural laneway that doubles as a dog walking trail for our winery customers. This picturesque setting is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy gorgeous sunrises over the vineyard and cornfield. The space The cabin and site are equipped and fitted with the following items: There are two campsites down the lane a bit (approximately 120m and 200m) and a second cabin site (the chalet at the vineyard - approximately 100m) but besides that you're out there alone. Propane BBQ with full propane tank (please bring your own tongs or flipper), Small portable sink for minor sanitation with limited water supply of 19 liters of water per day (please do not use to clean dishes or cookware - instead please bring your own water and wash basin), All lights, receptacles and fans are powered by a large industrial battery that is charged via four outdoor solar panels. There should be more than enough energy for your regular needs. Cooling fans are located on the loft floor. The ceiling fan and light are controlled via a remote that is located on the second floor wall. Sleeping arrangements include ultra comfy double bed on loft floor and pull out futon couch on primary floor (bring your own pillows and bedding for both), Four indoor folding chairs with a wooden folding table, Small Keurig coffee Brewer. Two coffee pods and two bottles of water provided per stay. Four outdoor Muskoka chairs that can be used on deck or around campfire pit, On site personal campfire pit, On site personal picnic table, On site parking for two vehicles, On site portable washroom (potta-potty) with handwashing station (25 feet from cabin) - this is the 0.5 washroom in listing. This washroom is shared with the campsites and the other cabin site located down the lane. Two free wine tastings at the Hounds of Erie Winery (only for guests staying Fri-Sun (during summer months)) just notify bar staff you are staying at the cabin, Fire wood is available for sale on site (bring cash), Pet friendly cabin (no pets on couch or bed please). please bring an extra sheet to cover couch with incase your pet uses it. The loft area is only accessible by a wooden ladder, Please note that the cabin is not heated or cooled. There is also no running water (no shower) besides basic onsite portable wash basin. If it is calling for a cool day/night please bring extra bedding and warm clothing. This is especially important during winter months. Things to bring: Bedding and pillows (extra bedding on cool nights), food and drinking water, cookware and cooking utensils, cleaning products, towels, clothes (dress for the weather), flash light(s), bug spray, sunscreen, games/entertainment, paper, matches/lighter, disposable plates and disposable utensils, wash basin and water (if you are cleaning your own dishes), toiletries, wood is available on site for sale cash, Extra Keurig coffee pods and sugar and cream if needed. Tips and tricks: Ensure all devices are off when not in use to save power. There is a finite amount of water in the washing station (19L). Please do not use this station to wash dishes or cookware as the sink will clog. Bring disposable plates/cups/cutlery and cookware, or bring your own washbasin. Make sure to bring extra bedding and warm clothes if it's calling for cool nights. The cabin isn't insulated or heated and so the temperature is generally the same inside as it is outside. Low cellular reception area. No available wifi. Use this time to disconnect and relax! The cabin base floor is 107 sq.ft in size and has a loft space above it (accessible by ladder). It's quaint, and perfect for a weekend away with friends or that special someone. Don't forget to bring any cooking equipment, disposal dishware, cutlery, paper towels, and flashlights, games/entertainment. Sometimes it can get a little loud during the special long weekends. Please keep this in mind if you are looking for seclusion or privacy. Guest access Access to the site is via an existing agricultural lane way that borders our farm. Along the road you'll find a bee yard where we make our estate vineyard wildflower honey! Please review the arrival and departure procedures for specific instructions on how to to gain access to ring road and cabin Other things to note The site is located at our family estate boutique winery! Quiet time starts at 11:00pm. No music after that time please. There's not much for cell reception. use this time to unwind and disconnect. while it is not required, we would greatly appreciate it if you could take your garbage away with you. we are happy to handle the recycling.
