Luxuriate and relax in an elegant, well-appointed, view-rich 3BR home (two with en-suite bathrooms.) Stocked with what you need & want: three fireplaces, jacuzzi, Sonos sound, Nespresso, EV charger and lounge complement the teenzone/movie area with PS5, Peloton, pingpong, foosball, lux beanbag, massage chair & '80s game console. 3000+ square feet to roam. Visit California's only private beach, using our beach chairs/kid toys/stuff; unplug from your hectic life for a bit. Revive, relax, restore. The space Two floors plus ample outside space allow for spreading out and relaxing. Upstairs, you'll find a great room with kitchen, dining, living, a balcony and an en suite bedroom - views from everywhere, Sonos in every corner to envelop you in music, and The Zone (more on that below.) Downstairs provides two more bedrooms, one en suite and the other with a queen bed and two bunks, a second common area (the lounge), which opens up to the deck, hot tub, sauna, BBQ, and unforgettable views of the beach, Tomales Bay, and the Pacific Ocean beyond. While you’re relaxing in the lounge or hot tub, send the more active members of your group to The Zone in our converted garage - a family movie theatre in the evenings, and kidzone/teenzone for them (or you!) to play Foosball, ping-pong, '80s arcade games, or today's games on the PS5. (We've got a few here - bring along your favorite PS5/4 games, and extra controllers, if you need more than two!) When you arrive, you'll find a chilled bottle of sparkling wine and a chilled bottle of Pellegrino in the fridge. You'll also see a $25 gift card for the Dillon Beach General Store (so you and we can help keep the local economy stimulated.) And Gilchrist and Soames soaps and shampoos and conditioners and lotions are in every bathroom. You’ll find a Dreamwave full-body massage chair here, as well as a giant, memory-foam filled Lovesac beanbag (much better than the shapeless beanbag you’re envisioning when I say “beanbag,” by the way...) There is no air conditioning machine in the house. But there is "air conditioning," indeed - on a hot day, simply open doors/windows in front and out back, and the unobstructed ocean breeze will quickly drop temperature. The marriage of radiant floor heating plus abundant ocean air gives you excellent control over your climate. The EV charger out front is available for your use. It's powered by solar and three huge Tesla house batteries, so if PG&E has one of those "power events" they seem to be having, your lights stay on. We keep the house secure with video cameras. They’re external only - no indoor cameras. In front we have two - a doorbell camera plus a camera that shows us the driveway. In back we have two more - one that covers the back deck (it CANNOT see you when you’re in the hot tub, but sees the grilling area), and one that doesn’t view any house guests, but rather points out at the beach so that we can all check how the ocean and beach look 24/7. Relax. Lounge about. Indulge yourself. And open the windows as you go to bed, falling asleep to the sound of surf, and awakening to chirping birds and grazing deer. And we're constantly updating the home. Here's the current rundown: 2023 Upgraded sound system Replaced the refrigerator 2022 Added sauna Replaced grill with new Weber Spirit E-330 Added propane fire pit to back yard Repainted master bedroom, bathroom Added YouTube TV 2021 Added Dreamwave massage chair Added Sonos throughout the house Added level 2 electric car charger (free to you!) Added solar and house batteries Select reviews: “Alex's elegant, remote beachside retreat is one of the nicest Airbnb's I've stayed at. I'm a bit of a snob about house rentals and this place surpassed my expectations - possibly the first time the house is even better in person than in the photos. All the furnishings, design choices, and appliances/electronics are top of the line. You can tell that every detail has been thoughtfully curated by the owners.” – April 2021 guest “This is an incredible home with magnificent views. We are planning on coming back next year.” – May 2021 guest “Prepare to have your jaw drop as soon as you enter this beauty. The huge picture window offers stunning views of Dillon Beach.” – May 2021 guest “Alex was one of the best hosts we have dealt with and we have stayed at many airbnb's. His communication was superb.” – June 2021 guest “This place is a true gem. The views are breathtaking. The home is spacious and has everything you need to feel at home. I’ve never had a more accommodating, personable, and warm host. Alex went to great lengths to make sure we had everything we needed for a great stay.” – March 2021 guest Guest access You've got the full house, of course. Other things to note Reader, relaxer, indulger, cook, sybarite, manager of the home base? This place is A+ for you. Made for decompression and elegance, it’s got all the things you need to recharge and decelerate - the jacuzzi, massage chair, three separate hangout areas, whole-house music, three fireplaces and amazing views await you. Active doer, explorer? This place is a B, because it does indeed take a sec to get to adventures. There is LOTS of stuff to do nearby, including several view-rich hikes that start at your front door, but there is intentionally very little in Dillon Beach, and it takes 10 mins to drive to the nearest town. (This grade bumps up to an A if you enjoy setting out to find your adventures from a perfectly elegant and quiet and relaxing home base, rather than camping at the entrance to your adventures. Just sayin’.) Surfer who wants every second possible on the waves? This house is an A+ for California, but only gets a C grade for Dillon Beach houses. There are better homes for you down the hill, where you can roll out of bed, grab your board and walk five minutes to the ocean. Up -the-hill houses like ours require you to DRIVE for five minutes - but indeed, they tend to be bigger, newer, and have better views - tradeoffs abound! So, super-surfer, take the place closer to the waves, if it’s available. If not - come hang out up the hill, and enjoy the territorial views as you drive to the beach! Worker who can type and talk and zoom from where they choose? This is an A+. When this place isn’t booked, the owners sometimes come here to make their calls and write their memos, as the views are formidable and inspiring. Use our brawny internet and Eero WiFi to keep your computer at top speed; we've had four simultaneous Zooms going on with no lag. Watch the waves and the beach as you ideate. Use one of our walls as a green screen; your boss doesn’t need to know you’re hiding out on the coast.
