A cozy fishing cabin on waterfront located on a deep & wide canal near Lake George and Georgetown. Quick rides to Salt Springs, Silver Glen, or Jupiter Springs -it's all about the water and flip flops here! Bring a boat or rent one nearby. The area claims to be the "Bass Capital of the World"! Get your freshwater fishing, swimming, shrimping in nearby and/or visit the beaches/shopping in St. Augustine about an hour away. Pets accepted with a fee. We have THREE rentals on this canal! The space LOCATION: This is quiet fishing-boating area. Has been for years and is the primary reason for guests to return each year. Please plan accordingly for your other destinations in mind. By car, St. Augustine, Flagler Beach and Silver Glen are one hour, Orlando theme parks are two hours. So, a negative feedback regarding location is poor planning on guest part. In the guestbook provided, are many ideas. Ie. Large grocery stores are about 20 mins away. Come prepared with meals, but Dollar General - about 5 mins away- carries enough groceries to get by with including frozen meats and fresh produce. Otherwise, the couple of restaurants in the area are highly recommended (menus in the house guestbook)! Smart ROKU tvs in all rooms and the living room has a Firestick with many extras such as, sports, your hometown local channels/news, and includes International channels! Working quality WiFi IS AVAILABLE! The home does not have a landline. WATERFRONT: this property is a fishing cabin and while well-maintained with paid professional pest services, webs & dust can accumulate quickly. We provide a gentle -human safe - mint pest spray to use as you need. Any true issue should be reported immediately. Sugar ants, blind mosquitos, and mosquitos are frequent. During swarming seasons, leave lights off outside and near doors and keep doors closed. Do not leave out sweet/breads. Place in frig. ADDITIONAL CHARGES WILL INCUR: for furniture moved and not returned, fish cleaning debris, smells resulting from fish cleaning or smoking (NO smoking in the house), pets not reported, dog poo left in yard, trash left inside or outside. BOAT RAMP: Drayton Island Ferry is 1.5 miles south & is free. You can leave your boat in the water your entire stay. We have a 25'2 bay boat. In the photo is where we moor. Smaller boats have three spots to choose from. Bring your own boat bumpers. Swim ladder. Guest access GUEST ACCESS: STARTER PACK: 1 paper towel roll, 4 rolls of toilet paper, dishwashing and hand soap, reusable coffee grounds filter and one laundry pod/sheet. Salt & pepper and other spices have been left by other happy guests. Free to use as you desire! Full access to property (home, shed and outside). Shed contains the washer and dryer for your use. And to store larger items during longer stay. Bring your own boat bumpers. Swim ladder on the floating dock. BOAT RAMP: Drayton Island Ferry is 1.5 miles south & is free. Our property has plenty of parking space for truck(s) and trailers. We have a 25'2L x 9'W boat (not for rent). The property is 90' wide- plenty of room for several boats! (see photos) You can leave your boat in the water your entire stay, moor to floating dock or natural cypress roots. We did not consider them in the price of rental. We love to provide them free. They must be returned under the back deck. A fee of $100 applies for any lost/missing kayak. Everyone has been great for years! No one ever had to be charged any fees. Also, a flyer is in the house for a local paddleboard rental company!
