Our quaint 1940s lakeshore home is ready for your family to relax and recharge. Wake up to beautiful views of the lake with your morning coffee. Sit on the patio by the evening bonfire watching the brilliant colors of the sunset. Our home has been lovingly prepared for YOU. We want you to forget about the tension in life. Make new memories with your family and watch the joy light up your children’s faces as they experience the great outdoors. The space The space is most ideal for 2 adults and 3 children, but can accommodate up to 7. Our 800 square foot beach-decorated home is cozy, but open and airy. Whatever amenity your family needs to feel at home, we’ve got it. An electric fireplace and forced air heat will keep you nice and toasty even in a winter snowstorm. In the summertime, the air conditioning will keep you cool. The home is 2 bedrooms and 1 & 1/2 bath, with the master bedroom containing a queen size select comfort bed. The private children’s room contains a bunk bed with rails, pull out trundle bed along with toys and books. For additional space, the family room closes off with barn doors and the sofa pulls out into a queen-sized bed. The home also contains a smart TV for your entertainment, and a desk in case you need to get some work done. Wifi included. Our newly remodeled private bathroom contains a bathtub with shower. There is also a half-bath in the laundry closet for your convenience. Our kitchen is fully equipped with cooking basics, a fridge, electric range, outdoor electric grill, microwave, coffee maker, crockpot, blender, toaster, dishes, and utensils. We have plenty of extras for babies or kids, including a travel crib, highchair, umbrella stroller, and plastic dishware & utensils. Lots of games, toys, books, and outdoor play activities are included as well! Guest access You will have full private access to our cabin. Our cabin was built in 1940, and in true “vintage cabin” appeal, it is on the smaller side, at 800 square feet. No Pets. We apologize we cannot accommodate your pet, and we would be happy to point you to a local boarder. There will be a minimum $200 pet cleaning fee if evidence of pet is found. We are not responsible for accidents at the house or on property. Use the lake and non-motorized at your own risk. Absolutely no parties or excessively loud music. City ordinance for quiet hours after 10pm until 7am. Please respect this quiet neighborhood. For your security and ours, we have a doorbell camera on the front door. Other things to note Coon Lake is a beautiful spring fed lake, which means the water is always clear. It's perfect for quiet fishing and relaxed boating. Little Coon Lake is connected to the larger Coon Lake by a small, shallow channel. It’s shallow around the edges, so lily pads grow quickly, but we’ve cleaned a great swimming area within our dock, that has a great sandy bottom. Walk out the backdoor and down a few steps to a private swim area and dock. Your children can play in the swing set, sandbox or with one of the water toys you will have access to. We also offer the use of 2 firepits to enjoy the lake in the evenings. Firewood can be purchased along your way at One Stop Convenience Center in Ham Lake, MN. This is truly a fisherman’s paradise. Anglers can catch Northern Pike, Largemouth Bass, and Bluegill sunfish. Bring your own gear. Kids will enjoy catching sunfish right from the dock! We provide free use of 2 kayaks and a canoe. There is also a paddle boat available to rent at an extra charge to explore and fish out on the lake. While there is no boat launch on Little Coon Lake, the larger connecting lake does if you would like to trailer the boat on the lake each day. Due to recent drought, sometimes the channel between our lake and Coon Lake is too shallow to cross via boat. Kayaks and paddleboards are welcome. Additionally, you can rent a pontoon for the day locally by contacting Coon Lake Boat Rentals. In the wintertime, you can skate and ice fish right out the backdoor. Bring your own gear. The backyard slopes down to the lake, so kids can sled down. There is also a huge sledding hill a mile away. Snowmobiles are welcome! We have direct access from the lake to several MN State trails in the area.
