We want to welcome you to our bright, spacious upper conversion in the Southside of Glasgow. The space The property is situated in a quiet residential street in a sought after leafy and affluent suburb of Pollokshields. It is ideal for those looking for a peaceful trip which is not too far from the city centre. The property has a good range of transport links - less than 5 minutes to motorway links, 7 minutes walk to Dumbreck station, 15 minutes walk to Cessnock subway ( an all day ticket can get you easy access to all the major attraction points in the city centre as well as the West End ) There is also the nearby option of Shields road underground which offers a park and ride service if you're wishing to leave the car and go on a night out in town. If arriving into Glasgow international airport we are a 15 minute drive. There is a 24 hour Asda located less than a 10 minute drive as well as Crossmyloof Morrisons and Sainsbury's local which are a 6-7 minutes drive. Nearby attractions include Bellahouston park, Pollok country park, Maxwell park, House of an Art Lover, Glasgow ski and snowboard centre, Burrell collection museum , Glasgow climbing centre , Rangers football club. Located just a 15 minute drive away are Braehead and Silverburn shopping centres. In addition if you are attending or having a wedding event in the beautiful famous Sherbrooke castle , House of an Art Lover or Pollokshaws Borough Hall then this would be the ideal location for your own stay or wedding guests. The house is a stunning traditional red sandstone upper conversion of a detached villa built circa 1910. The exterior has a private driveway with up to 3 car parking spaces. As you enter, you'll be greeted by the stunning architectural details that define this historic building. The carefully preserved building bricks exude character and tell a story of the past, adding a touch of nostalgia to your stay. The intricate craftsmanship and ornate period features showcase the elegance and attention to detail that were hallmarks of the Victorian era. The Victorian charm in this recently renovated property extends throughout with high ceilings, large bay windows and original cornicing. The stunning huge original stain glass windows in the kitchen / lounge area create a unique and enchanting atmosphere. The spacious bedrooms feature plush beds with luxurious linens, allowing you to relax and unwind in style. The bright and large open-plan kitchen and lounge can seamlessly blend with the formal sitting room when the huge Crittal style doors are opened creating a truly warm and inviting atmosphere. We have thoughtfully provided multiple seating areas with chairs and comfortable sofas, ensuring that everyone can find their perfect spot to unwind with two television areas in separate sitting areas. Every room exudes a sense of sophistication, boasting high ceilings, large windows adorned with curtains and blackout blinds. The carefully chosen furniture creates a sense of calm and comfort while still offering a contemporary space for an enjoyable stay. The living space is family friendly all set on one level. Upon entering there is a large open plan kitchen lounge area with a kitchen island. Huge Crittal style doors then connect this space to the formal living room with a dining table for up to 8 people to dine. Bedroom 1 has a large king size bed. Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds (with TV). Bedroom 3 has a double bed. Lounge area has a sofa bed which can sleep further 1 or 2 persons. Bathroom provides a high powered shower as well as tub bath. Washing machine facility is located under the staircase cupboard. Guest access Guests will have full access to the property during the duration of the stay. Other things to note The property is professionally cleaned to a high standard. Self check in arrangement in place. Travel cot, high chair and child safety plug inserts can be provided upon request. (Please note the travel cot comes with its own standard flat hardback mattress. We do not provide padded mattress or bedding. If you require these items please bring along your own.) STRICTLY NO PARTIES ALLOWED. No shoes on the carpets please. Our neighbours have our contact numbers and will in inform us as well as local police of house rules being violated. NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN. No extra guests allowed other than on booking. STRICTLY NO SMOKING. PLEASE NOTE : FAMILIES WITH YOUNG CHILDREN PLEASE DO NO ALLOW CHILDREN TO OPEN OR CLOSE THE CRITTAL STYLE BARN DOORS (TO FORMAL LIVING ROOM.) THESE ARE HEAVY DOORS AND SHOULD ONLY BE OPERATED BY ADULTS. HOUSEKEEPING RULES Please keep noise to minimum after 10PM, in the unfortunate event of any disruptions alerting neighbours, GUESTS WILL BE ASKED TO VACATE THE PROPERTY IMMEDIATELY. If guests are suspected of carrying and/or using illegal drugs of any kind the police will be informed and GUESTS WILL BE ASKED TO VACATE THE PROPERTY IMMEDIATELY. Please note that occasionally we may leave consumables such as condiments or snacks left behind by previous guests if they are not empty. We try our very best to ensure that the items are not expired or stale. HOWEVER, ultimately it is up to the guest discretion and inspection to consume these items if they wish. The host does NOT take any responsibility for the consumables. Please try to leave the flat in a clean & tidy order. Please make sure to WASH ALL DISHES before leaving. If dishes are not washed extra cleaning fees may be applied. Please leave used towels on the floor and any unused towels on the table or sofa. Please close all windows , turn heating down to minimum. WASTE RECYCLING - Please note Glasgow City Council operate strict recycling rules for waste disposal. Please ensure to follow the recycling guidance provided for you in the flat. Thank you for your cooperation. Please make sure to check and take all personal belongings with you when you check out, we will not post out items. Anything left behind will be binned or donated to charity.
