Porthillly Beach Holiday Park | No.11
Description
While Cornwall is famous for its raw majestic beauty, there are still some relatively undiscovered little gems, such as Porthilly, on the Camel Estuary. Our holiday homes are conveniently located only a few minutes’ walk from Porthilly beach on the peaceful ‘Porthilly Beach Holiday Park’. Our site makes the perfect base for couples and families looking to explore North Cornwall. If we do not have availability for this caravan, please visit our page to see other options! The space This caravan (no.11) was new for 2023 with lovely fresh bedding, linen, towels, crockery and cutlery. It is the perfect space to walk back to after an afternoon spent relaxing on the beach. The caravan is double glazed, and has central heating making it just as cosy in the cooler months. The kitchen is well equipped with a gas cooker and hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, teapot, cafetiere and good quality cutlery, crockery and pans. There is a large fridge freezer. The living area is light and airy, with plenty of space to entertain. The front of the caravan is glass, with doors which open out onto a concealed deck area (helpful for keeping young children in one place) where you look out across a peaceful tree lined meadow. Outside there is a picnic bench and Weber BBQ for those warm summer evenings, along with two sun loungers to kick back and relax on.Guests have the luxury of being less than a 3 minute walk to one of Cornwall’s finest beaches. Porthilly is just a stone's throw from Rock and all the activities that the Camel estuary has to offer. Rock is renowned as one of the major water-sport centres in Cornwall - sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, canoeing and rowing are all activities which can be carried out in the relatively calm waters of the estuary. If you fancy keeping your feet on solid ground, walk onto the coastal path which leads around the golden sand dunes to Daymer Bay, Polzeath, Pentire Point and beyond. Across the estuary from Porthilly and Rock is the harbour town of Padstow, a mecca for all things foodie, offering a versatile choice from fine dining to fish and chips on the quay. Hop on the foot ferry at Rock to explore this vibrant fishing town, or walk out to Stepper Point with its panoramic sea views of the estuary and Atlantic Ocean. Guest access There is parking for one car and guests are welcome to park a boat too if required. The caravan is around a 15 minute walk to the convenience shops, including a bakery, butcher, delicatessen, fish shop and spar shop. There is a fantastic fish and chip shop serving locally caught fresh produce and a range of award winning restaurants within walking distance just across the beach or a ferry ride over to Padstow. Other things to note There is a small laundrette on site which accepts £1 coins and 20p's. A wash is charged at £5 and dryer at £4. Caravans on the site are mostly privately owned, meaning that they are quite often empty and the site is very rarely 'full'. This means that the site is peaceful and quiet, and we kindly ask our guests to please respect this. We do not allow the charging of electric cars through the caravan. There is, however, a charging point at the top of Porthilly Lane (a short walk away).
