Designed for up to 6 guests, it has 2 air-conditioned double bedrooms with private bathrooms, an additional flexible room, a spacious living area, a veranda and direct access to the garden and beachfront. A character-filled island house made for families or friends seeking space, calm, sea breeze and the slower rhythm of Kei. The space Rumah Tua is an independent beachfront house within MANOA Boutique Villas & Hidden Islands. It shares MANOA’s tropical garden, beachfront and common spaces with Villa Manoa and Villa Maayun, while keeping the privacy of a real home. The house includes 2 air-conditioned double bedrooms with private bathrooms, an additional flexible room, a spacious living area and a large veranda facing the bay. Inside, woven ceilings, rattan chairs, crafted wood, graphic patterns and soft light create the feeling of an old island house, warm, generous and full of character. The veranda is one of Rumah Tua’s most beautiful spaces: a place to read, rest, have coffee, watch the light change over the lagoon or simply let the sea breeze pass through. In front of the house, the sea, sand and garden create a peaceful landscape that feels almost outside time. MANOA is surrounded by sea, forest and mangroves, on the traditional lands of Ohoidertawun village. Rumah Tua is ideal for families or friends looking for space, calm, unique architecture and the slower rhythm of island life. Guest access MANOA is located in Ohoidertawun, on the coast of Kei Kecil, in a place that feels far from the world while remaining easy to reach: Langgur airport is less than 20 km away, about 25–30 minutes by car. On arrival, guests are welcomed by our team, an extended island family from the South Moluccas and West Papua, deeply connected to the sea, villages, customs and island life. They are the people who give MANOA its rhythm, warmth and sense of place. Guests are shown to Rumah Tua, then have access to the whole house: bedrooms, bathrooms, flexible room, spacious living area, veranda, garden and beachfront. They can also enjoy MANOA’s shared spaces: beach bar, dining areas, small seawater pool, tropical garden and shared outdoor areas. Airport transfer can be arranged on request. Other things to note MANOA is not a standard hotel, but an intimate, quiet and confidential island home, close to nature and deeply rooted in Kei culture. Dogs, cats and even a wild boar live on the property, adding to the feeling of a lived-in place rather than a formatted resort. Our team is warm, attentive and available if needed. We also have an intimate knowledge of the archipelago and can help guests approach Kei with respect: its villages, tides, sea routes, customs, stories and local rhythms. MANOA is not only a place to sleep, but an artistic universe shaped by Kei culture, island memory, handcrafted details and a deep connection to the sea. In front of the property, the vast sandy bay is sometimes revealed at low tide, offering almost unreal walks between sea, light and horizon. Ohoidertawun Bay is also known for its rock paintings, part of Kei’s ancient landscape and history. Meals, drinks, transfers, sea trips, cultural visits, excursions and extras are not included unless agreed in advance. Card payments are not available on site; please bring cash for extras, as ATM withdrawals in Langgur can be limited.
