Enjoy a quiet peaceful getaway surrounded by nature in our private guest suite! You’ll have everything you need for a comfortable stay for a solo traveler or a couple in the heart of beautiful Johns Island (about a 20 min drive to central downtown or Kiawah Island). This is a perfect spot if you will have a car with you to get around and explore all the amazing sites the Charleston area has to offer!! Our private guest suite is completely separate from our main home where we live, and is located above the garage. Everything you see pictured is included in the unit and is your private space to enjoy during your stay! There is a screen door that we recommend latching if the weather is pleasant so you can enjoy all the sights & sounds of nature our property has to offer during the day! There’s a lovely cross-breeze if you open the front window & keep the door open with the screen door closed. There is NOT a kitchen sink or full stove for cooking full meals in our unit. We do have a mini fridge with a tiny freezer inside. This space is best suited for travelers who plan to eat out & enjoy the bounty of local restaurants in Charleston for most of their stay with us, and we are always excited to make recommendations, as we are big foodies ourselves :) We do have a washer/dryer combo you’re welcome to use if you need to do laundry while you’re here. Our space is ideal for guests who have a car, whether you drive here or rent one if you’re flying. You *can* get away with using Uber throughout your stay, however our area isn’t very walkable to shops, restaurants, or grocery stores. You will have full access to a guest parking space, the entire guest suite, & the outdoor table and chairs below the unit that sit between the trees and the garden. This property is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood in Johns Island, about halfway between Kiawah Island and downtown Charleston. We have abundant wildlife, and tranquil wooded surroundings. We are very close to the Angel Oak tree, which is a must-see when you stay with us! If you like to walk or run, our neighborhood is “walkable” in that sense, but we do recommend guests have a car to safely get to restaurants & other attractions in the area as there are not sidewalks on the main highway you’d need to take to get there. There is a fantastic farmer's market less than a 5-minute drive away on Saturdays from 9:30 am - 1 pm, and another across the bridge on James Island on Sundays from 11 - 2 at The Pour House (we recommend getting there early for the best goodies)! There are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby that we are happy to recommend! Nicer restaurants have been booking out further in advance lately, so we do recommend making reservations before your trip on Resy or other booking sites/apps. It’s easiest to get around with a car if you're staying with us. We offer a designated guest parking spot for one car. If you’ll have more than one car, the second will need to find on-street parking in front of our home.
