Our house is conveniently located close to Lye High Street and Lye Train Station, where you can find a variety of Shops, Supermarkets, Restaurants, Pubs, and amenities. You can also enjoy the local glass making heritage at the Stourbridge Glass Museum or the Ruskin Glass Centre, both within walking distance from our house. If you are looking for some green space, you can visit Mary Stevens Park, which has a lake, a bandstand, a cafe, and a playground. Lye is part of the Stourbridge area, which is well connected by rail, road, and water. You can easily reach Birmingham and other surrounding areas by train or bus from Lye Train Station or Stourbridge Junction Station. The strategic road network (SRN) managed by National Highways also provides access to major motorways such as the M5, M6, M40, and M42. You can either SatNav or use AA Route Planner online to plan your journey by car. Stourbridge is a charming market town with a rich history and culture. You can explore its many attractions such as Hagley Hall, an 18th-century stately home with beautiful gardens; Sadler's Brewery, where you can sample some local craft beers; The Red House Glass Cone, a historic glass factory with demonstrations and exhibitions; or Katie Fitzgerald Pub with live music and comedy shows. You can also enjoy the countryside nearby, with the Clent Hills and Kinver Edge offering scenic views and hiking trails. One of the main attractions of Stourbridge is the Merry Hill Shopping Centre, one of the largest shopping malls in the UK. It has over 200 stores, including popular brands like Primark, Next, M&S, Asda, and more. It also has a cinema, a bowling alley, a large food court, and a 24-hour McDonald's drive-thru. You can easily get to Merry Hill Shopping Centre by bus from Lye High Street or Lye Train Station in about 15 minutes. Alternatively, you can drive there in about 8-10 minutes via Pedmore Road.
