THE SUITE - Historic Center

You will stay in the heart of the city, in an ANCIENT building built in 1100 AD, in a small and beautiful apartment a short walk from the central Santa Maria Novella train station, the main monuments of the city and the shopping streets: 600 meters from Santa Maria Novella train station (about a 7-minute walk) 400 meters from the Cathedral of Santa Maria Novella (6-minute walk) 500 meters from Piazza Duomo (6-minute walk) 900 meters from Ponte Vecchio (9-minute walk). The space The accommodation is located in a building from 1100 AD but is furnished with modern taste. You will climb 35 steep steps of a stone staircase that was built more than 1,000 years ago that will take you back in time! It is equipped with every comfort: heating, washing machine, wifi, sheets, towels, hair dryer, fully equipped kitchen (pots, dishes, cutlery, Nespresso coffee machine, courtesy pods, oven, kettle). The wooden coffered ceiling is typical Florentine. It consists of a living room/kitchen with a sofa bed (130 x 200 cm) and a bedroom with a double bed (160 x 200 cm) The apartment comfortably accommodates 2 people, 4 at most. The third and fourth guests will be accommodated FREE OF CHARGE (with only the accommodation tax required by the municipality of Florence) and will be able to use the sofa bed FREE OF CHARGE. Guests staying FOR FREE are provided with sheets, blankets and a towel each, which they will find inside the closet. 🔴 VERY IMPORTANT: Please note that the sofa, when transformed into a bed, significantly reduces space and therefore COMFORT. Please also note that the third and fourth guests will have to cross the bedroom to reach the bathroom. 🔴 Guest access The Suite is entirely at your disposal. It is located on the third floor of a charming period building, dating back over a thousand years, which retains its authentic character! Access is via a historic stone staircase (35 steep steps, built according to the ancient medieval building logic) visible in the photographs of the ad. Going up them will be like taking a dip into the past and living, for a moment, like a true Florentine from a thousand years ago! Other things to note 🔹 You will stay in a small apartment in the heart of the city, between the shopping streets and the most important monuments, in a very old building! 🔸 The central location of the SUITE will make the heart of the city easy and convenient to visit. 🔹 Between 1100 AD and 1400 AD, this building (and therefore the apartment where you will stay) housed the merchants who came to Florence to sell and buy fabrics, precious stones, spices and unfortunately also slaves. 🔸 The street where the SUITE is located was probably called "Via del Moro" in honor of the "Moorish" merchants, that is, those coming from Africa and the Middle East. 🔹 From 1400 AD, the palace was instead used as a convent and gave lodging to the Benedictine Friars of the nearby Cathedral of Santa Maria Novella. 🔸 Above the door of the building you will appreciate a very ancient stone coat of arms and in the atrium, on the right, an ancient blessed holy water font that the Benedictine Friars installed about 600 years ago! 🔹 THE SUITE offers an ideal stay for those who want to discover Florence on foot, immersed in art, history and beauty, living an experience in which modern comforts are intertwined with the authentic charm of past centuries!
