It was originally built almost 100 years ago. And it has been carefully and thoughtfully renovated over the years. It has 2 large and comfortable bedrooms. Each bedroom has a queen-size bed. The small bathroom features an original clawfoot bathtub with a shower head.. The kitchen is well equipped with vintage appliances that still work great. We understand that Airbnb has a world of options. If our listing is the best one for your dates and budget, it’s very important to outline the following about our Jenner Gem: - The driveway is long (~60 feet) and relatively narrow (~10 feet wide). No U-turn possible. Nervous drivers might have a hard time. There’s no alternative or street parking. Neighbors are sensitive about parking in front of their houses. - The heating/cooling is provided by recently installed mini splits and some space heaters. If you wish to use the fireplace please bring your own firewood. We recommend Duraflame brand. Easy and safe. - There’s no dishwasher or sink trash disposal. - The water heater tank might not accommodate 4 consecutive long showers. - Upstairs bedroom is carpeted. - We kindly ask all guests to take their shoes off when in the house. Feel free to bring your own flip flops or slides to use indoor. If you are comfortable with these conditions, we will be super happy to have you and your guests over. We love to host! But given the limitations of the house, we need to be sure that guests are aligned with what we can offer. Guests do not have access to the back part of the exterior of the property (where the shed is) which is currently closed for maintenance. Additionally, no access to the garage and laundry. We'll be available via Airbnb messaging to answer any questions you might have during your stay. Jenner is a quiet and respectful community. Many have chosen this calm piece of the California coast as their forever home. And we kindly invite all our guests to have that in mind and be equally respectful by coming with the sole intent to relax and wind down. Finding the entrance to our driveway and navigating through it can be particularly challenging for a nervous driver. There are no off street parking spots. And parking in front of any neighbor's home will likely create an issue. We will send specific instructions with photos to help you find and park on the driveway. But feel free to ask for more information before booking. Our driveway is a no-thru-traffic road. It gives exclusive access to Jenner Gem and no other property. Yet, it can be tricky to navigate it. Please drive slowly. It's narrow so you won't be able to turn around and you will have to back out (drive on reverse). As per County rules, no exterior noise after 9 pm. Quiet time between 10 pm and 7 am is enforced by neighbors. Also, no burning of fuels of any kind on vacation rentals. The property is not child-safe. Parents are welcome to bring their loved ones provided any and all of them are under constant supervision during their stay. We pay above living wage for a professional cleaning service. If the cleaning is not to your liking at check-in, please reach out asap so that we can send their staff to correct it. Pricing clarification: About 12% of your payout goes to the County taxes and another 12-15% goes to Airbnb commission fees. So, almost 30% of the reservation price is going to these parties.
