An architect designed, self contained annexe, with well equipped kitchenette and luxury bathroom, adjacent to but separate from the owners' 1930s house, in a quiet road five minutes walk from Budleigh Salterton sea front and ten minutes from the picturesque town. The South West coastal path runs beside Budleigh and the nearby Lower Otter Restoration Project, recently completed and giving opportunities to see many estuary and migratory birds. The space The annexe has a living room / bedroom with a double sofa bed. This area has a raised ceiling and mezzanine floor, providing light and a sense of space, with windows and a door to the front, and at the rear views over a private patio, and the garden. As well as an easy chair, a kitchen stool provides a seating area next to the kitchen worktop where it's possible to work at a laptop. The shower room has luxury shower fittings, a toilet and basin, and the kitchenette has a fridge, hob, electric oven and microwave. The mezzanine, accessed by a ladder, is available for guests to use if they wish to store their belongings. The annexe is ideal for a walker or cyclist, or for someone wanting a seaside break. The private patio for use by guests only gives a sunny place to sit, and to have meals. In the town are a number of very good restaurants and cafes, as well an excellent butchers' shop, artisan bakery, coffee shops, and popular gift shops and charity shops. Guest access Guests have use of the private patio which is immediately outside the main entrance to the annexe at the rear. The whole of the annexe is solely for the use of guests. There is a storage shed next to the entrance which can be used to store a bike. The next level up from the annexe is the owners' garden which is not accessible to guests. There is a passage way between the annexe and the house which guests use to go to the rear entrance. Other things to note We provide tea, coffee and milk for guests which will be in the annexe on arrival. There are three small supermarkets in Budleigh which sell a good range of products. There is also a regular bus service from Budleigh to towns in the area.
