The house sits within minutes of The Hoosier National Forest offering hiking / fishing and a peaceful atmosphere, 40 minutes from Holiday World, and 50 minutes from French Lick. (Strong WIFI / Gas Grill) This house offers two bedrooms and a full bath. Master Suite - Queen Bed Second Bedroom - Queen Bed Bathroom - Shower / Tub Combination There is a covered area to escape the weather on the side of the garage to sit in the shade, or grill a meal. The kitchen is fully stocked (except for food of course) for all your cooking needs. There is enough room to park your boat in the open lot across the road. There is a covered deck on the front of the house giving a beautiful view of the Ohio River. There is access to the Ohio River from this property. There is a dock to fish from or park a small boat. The river current is swift being on the outside banks of an oxbow. We do not recommend swimming in the river from our property. There is room to park a boat across the road from the house. Guests may use the boat ramp in Derby which you can see the boat ramp entrance from the property. The front door has a keypad for easy entry, so there is no need for anyone to let you in, you can come and go as you please. Our house sits right outside the Hoosier National Forest which offers 84 miles of hiking trails with 50 miles of them open to horses. If you enjoy fishing and boating, you are less than a minute from the Derby Boat Ramp giving you easy access to the Ohio River. The most common fish caught are bluegill, redear, bass, and catfish. Our property has a boat dock for easy access from the river. There is a small park located in Derby just a few minutes down the road. There are basketball courts, swings, slides, a shelter house, and a beautiful view for the parents while watching the children play. The closest restaurants are: The Derby Tavern, is next door. Marcy's, it is about 20 minutes away in Leopold. The menu is located in the kitchen for you to check out. In Derby, there is a great little convenience store (Derby Market) that stocks most of your basic food needs and a few extras if needed. Including firewood if needed. The closet grocery store / Walmart is going to be in Tell City or Corydon, both about 30 minutes away. If you enjoy fishing and boating, we have our own private dock, but you are 5 minutes from the Derby Boat Ramp giving you easy access to the Ohio River. With rural comes with a bit of a drive to every where you want to go, and spotty cell phone coverage due to the large rolling hills. If rural your thing, this is the perfect get away!
