Fall is here, come see the beautiful foliage change in this glorious paradise. You can get the rest you’ve needed in our unique lakefront cabin. Book now for a quiet vacation. Swimming, fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking can all be done right off our shore in this glorious lake. Skiers, Ice Fishers, and snowmobilers, this is a great winter getaway. It is a little over an hour from Bangor, 35 minutes to Sugarloaf, 20 minutes to Skowhegan. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. The space Our unique cabin is newly built. It is a 2 story structure that we designed and built. There is a stairwell that connects the 2 floors, but has doors to protect privacy for each unit. You will enter through the private lakefront entrance. The first floor is the rental unit. It has 2 bedrooms. The first room has a full sized bed. The back bedroom has twin bunk beds that are stacked. The kitchen is galley kitchen, with small fridge, full sized stove, microwave, toaster, and Keurig coffee maker. There are also pots pans, plates, bowls, cups, glasses, silverware, and cooking utensils. If you are having a larger group, it is possible to rent out the stairwell bedroom and the upstairs for additional cost. Please contact me directly for more information. The dock is out of the water in October or November and back in, in April or May. We are still working on building more level paths from our cabin to the lake, so please excuse some of our building materials and equipment. The lake is usually frozen solid in December or January and great for ice fishing. Please be safe and use caution at all times on the lake. Guest access Welcome! You will be staying in the first floor of our cabin. But if interested in renting the whole cabin, we could possibly arrange that. There is a keyless entry for which we will provide the code. You will park in the spots designated and will walk down the short gravel walkway (pictured) to lakefront entrance. If the snow is deep or the entrance is icy, we have an interior staircase you can use. We recommend the main entrance for the winter months. We will likely be upstairs on the second floor of the cabin if you need anything. If we aren’t there, you can reach us via the app, text, or phone call. Other things to note Sandy Pond is incredibly peaceful. We have bald eagles and loons that make regular appearances. We have a shallow shoreline with a Sandy and rocky entrance from the shore. Feel free to bring your kayak, canoe, paddle boards, or floats. Motor boats are not permitted on the lake unless they are under 9 horse power. We do not have a boat launch on our land. Our swim float (yellow out off our shore) is in deep enough water to jump, but our dock is in shallow water with rocks all around so jumping and diving are not permitted.
