12 minutes to Hunter Mountain Ski Resort, 25 min to Windham. 9 min to Phoenicia and 30 min to Woodstock which all have year-round activities and wonderful food options. Nestled in the heart of the Catskills on a street that dead-ends into the Diamond Notch Falls trailhead, the location is gorgeous and centrally located. Take a morning walk to see the neighboring horses at Diamond Notch Trails or eat in the garden at Amy's Take Out, a veg-friendly gem just a 5-minute walk away. The space The cabin itself is an open studio concept with a sleeping loft (max height 3'11") which means there are no bedrooms with doors. The queen bed rests at the top of the sleeping loft which overlooks the main living area and the couch which pulls out into a queen-size bed with a memory foam topper for extra guests or those who would like to sleep on the first level. The main space has an electric fireplace, but the main source of heat and air conditioning is the mini-split system, both are controlled by remotes. The bathroom has a full-size shower and full indoor plumbing. The fully stocked kitchen has nine feet of counter and sitting space with mountain views and everything you need to enjoy cooking a meal or posting up to get some work done during your stay. The kitchen has a wine fridge, bar nook, plug-in electric hot plates, convection oven, kettle, and french press. We are avid cookers so the kitchen is fully stocked with all kinds of cookware, a small selection of spices, plus coffee and tea. The parcel is 3 acres mostly uphill behind the house which you are welcome to hike up. You can not see any neighboring houses or much of the street from the front yard and a long driveway creates separation from the road. The front-facing outdoor space is a work in progress but has a large grassy area to run around or picnic, a firepit with a bench, two chairs, and a small table for morning coffee or dining al fresco with a mountain view. You are welcome to use the wood stored in front of the house. There is a charcoal Weber grill, coal starting chimney and grill utensils for guest use. Please bring charcoal for cooking. We do have a 4 person tent if you would like to have extra guests and they fancy a glamping experience. There is a firepit + camping site just up the hill from the house on an old logging trail.
