The Old Schoolhouse, Granasig

Built in 1886, The Old Schoolhouse is a unique part of Irish history. Granasig is an idyllic setting for nature lovers, walkers, sea lovers and for those with a poetic heart. Two beaches are within easy walking distance with other nearby beaches to explore by car/bike. The gourmet capital Kinsale and music hub Clonakilty are <30min drive. Ballinspittle <8min drive has a range of amenities including a garage, post office, two supermarkets, deli/cafe, bar, craft shops and an excellent restaurant. The space The room is large (40m2) and airy with distant sea views and star laden night skies. The front garden is a wild flower meadow with big old trees, birdsong and butterflies, not forgetting the bats after dark. Guest access You will have your own private room and private bathroom. Continental breakfast is available as well as tea and coffee making facilities in your room. You're welcome to use our kitchen which is large and well equipped. The house has a garden with seating areas, a barbecue and hammock. There is a laundry room with washing and drying facilities. We also have a washing line in the garden for good drying days. During your stay I will be staying at the property with my partner so we can answer any queries in person and help with useful advice/suggestions. We will also be contactable by mobile and AirbnB messaging. Other things to note There is space to store surfboards/bikes etc and an undercover area for drying wetsuits and walking/hiking gear. You will need a bike or car to get around.
