This room is one of two Airbnb rooms privately located in the front of the house upstairs (the other is the Retreat Room) and is very quiet and comfortable. Enjoy a variety of organically grown fresh herbs and vegetables from the back yard gardens as well as pick pomegranates, peaches, pears, apricots, lemons, limes , baby guava and black current berries fresh when in season. The backyard features a big covered patio that has 2 seating areas; each with its own fire pit table. We are currently doing our own backyard landscaping to add more garden and recreation areas to watch incredible sunsets so pardon our mess which we do try to minimize. We are generally a quiet house with someone working from home at all times. Cleanliness is important and we have air purifiers in multiple rooms. We are open to interacting as much or as little as you want. We love cooking and baking so there’s often a chance to try something delicious! We love to share. Join in watching a movie or play a board game, cards, read a book or nature watch. We can assist in virtually all aspects of your visit. If you enjoy watching and listening to nature, come stay with us. You'll be surprised at what you might see since the neighborhood is surrounded by open land. If you like horses, there are several horse farms within a half-mile - some offer riding lessons as well. Our neighborhood is very safe, well-maintained and has wide, paved streets with sidewalks that are well lit. Our house is about 1.5 miles from the freeway - close enough for quick access, but far enough to not hear any road noise. You'll also see many people out taking a walk, jogging or walking their dogs. We have a few rescued kittens/cats and dog that are very young and friendly as well as therapuetically entertaining. They will not engage your company unless you want their attention as they are fairly shy and often sleeping if not playing. We ask that you do NOT leave any exterior doors open except for quickly passing through to keep them safely indoors. We appreciate good communication and being given 15-30 minutes advanced notice prior to your arrival so we can put the pets up. We clean the floors daily to prevent fur or dirt buildup and have multiple air purifiers. If you need to bring a pet, please contact us first to make a request for arrangements or inquire about boarding. Be mindful that we do already have cats and a dog so if your pet is not pet friendly, the other pets may make your pet uncomfortable. Pets will need to be approved first and on a case by case basis and must NOT be left unattended for more than four hours if leaving the house without prior approval. Pet walking and feeding is available if you do need to leave the premises and will require an additional fee. Also, we are not set up for toddlers or infants so unless you are bringing everything you need, chances are we will not have anything other than room for them. Lastly, do realize the bathroom is shared and as such, please be responsible for your personal belongings and store in your room to prevent loss. If you need to take a shower and the bathroom outside your room is taken, we can offer a 2nd shower downstairs and a robe. Quite hours are 10pm-7am. Check out is 11am.
