Come getaway at our charming historic French countryside village house next to the beautiful Garonne river outside of the vital village of Cazeres. Conveniently located near the "Rose" city of Toulouse and short drive to the Pyrenees mountains. The house has been recently renovated, preserving many beautiful, unique historic details. The first floor is an open-plan living space with a kitchen and lounge, which opens to an intimate balcony overlooking the Garonne River with spectacular sunsets. The space The first floor opens to an open-plan kitchen and living room, which leads to a balcony overlooking a park and the Garonne River. The balcony with an outdoor dining table is perfect for morning coffee, listening to the birds, and evening all-fresco dinners enjoying the sunset. The first-floor living space has a full kitchen, dishwasher, and full-size dining table. The living room has a comfortable sectional sofa with a fold-out couch. The bathroom, toilet, and shower are all located on the first floor. Conveniently also located on the first floor is the washer/dryer unit. The second floor includes two bedrooms, each with a queen bed and wardrobe closets. The third floor has one additional bedroom with a full bed, which could be opened with a special request for additional fee. The area is ideal for a country getaway but with the conveniences of French village life. Plus not a far train or car ride to the city of Toulouse, while closely situated to the Pyrenees mountains for skiing or hiking escapes. The house is located above the park next to the Garonne River bank. A kayak or small boat launch is located below the house on the river. An ideal place for picnics. Down the river is a "base nautique"-boat/kayak rental location. A basement exit to another stone patio next to the park could also be optional for sitting outside and enjoying the sun. The house is ideal for exploring the Cathar region, wine regions and historic sites of the Languedoc region. We welcome long extended stays and sabbatical work trips!
