The Loft at Turon Retreats is an authentic bush sanctuary in a spectacular setting, located a 3 hour drive from Sydney. Tranquil and unspoilt, The Loft is located just off the Castlereagh Highway on the way to Mudgee. Set amongst rolling hills, The Loft is an authentic log cabin that can accommodate up to 12 people, with a large wraparound verandah providing the perfect spot for afternoon drinks as the sun sets behind the hills. The cabin is environmentally friendly and runs off solar and gas. The space The Loft is an authentic log cabin that runs off solar and gas. There is plenty of power and water. On the ground floor are two queen sized bedrooms to the rear of the cabin. Here you will also find the kitchen with a gas stove and oven and the bathroom with shower/bath and toilet. The dining area has a large table with seating capacity for 12 guests. Next to the dining area is a lounge that contains a double fold-out futon for extra sleep space, several lounge and arm chairs and a coffee table area ideal for a fireside drink or games tournament. The ground floor opens onto the covered wrap-around verandah either by the main entry or via the front-facing double glass doors. There are outdoor tables and chairs and a gas BBQ. At night, the verandah can be illuminated using the festoon and fairy lights. Upstairs in the loft area there are five double futons as well as a single ottoman that can convert to a bed suitable for a child. There is a wall mounted TV with integrated DVD and a variety of movies. Satellite TV is also available. The outdoor fire pit area provides the perfect space for star gazing and marshmallow roasting, and the nearby hammock offers the perfect space to sit and watch the sun set over the rolling hills. Guest access Guests will be able to access the entire space except for a small under-stair cupboard and bathroom cupboard that are used to store cleaning supplies. Other things to note We do not provide bed sheets , pillow cases or bath towels. You will need to bring your own. We provide doonas with covers, blankets, pillows, hand towels, bath mat, and tea towels. The internet is intermittent. Our guest say being off line is one of the attractions.
