Just 2 minutes from the beach and a short walk to village pubs, cafés, and shops — Rock Cottage offers peace, charm, and the perfect base for exploring Arran. The space Once two cottages, Rock Cottage has been lovingly restored into a unique and characterful home. During your stay, you’ll have one end of the cottage entirely to yourselves, complete with a private living room, bathroom, and a charming double bedroom upstairs. With your own lockable entrance from the shared hallway, you can enjoy complete privacy while still feeling at home. The bedroom offers breathtaking views over Lamlash Bay and Holy Isle, while the ground-floor living room is a cosy spot to unwind after a day of exploring. The cottage is full of historic character, with the quirks and charm you’d expect from a home that’s a few hundred years old. Tucked away down a quiet private track, Rock Cottage gives you that “hidden away” feeling, yet you’re only a 2-minute stroll to the beach and a 10-minute walk to the heart of Lamlash village. There you’ll find welcoming pubs with fantastic local food and entertainment, a Co-Op for essentials, and plenty of cafés and coffee shops. A couple of points to note: *** This is room-only accommodation (no kitchen access), perfect if you’d like to enjoy the many local dining options instead of cooking *** *** Our two friendly Egyptian Mau cats have the run of the whole cottage when guests aren’t staying. They won’t come into your private area, but Rock Cottage may not suit those with cat allergies *** *** The bathroom is fully functional and clean, though due for a little modern refresh soon *** Whether you’re here to explore Arran’s stunning landscapes or simply relax by the sea, Rock Cottage offers a serene and welcoming base. Guest access You will enter through the shared main front door, but will be able to have complete privacy behind your lockable internal entry door. Other things to note We have two adorable Egyptian mau cats, who won't bother you in your living space, but, as we use the whole cottage as our home when we don't have guests, definitely explore everywhere at other times. So Rock Cottage isn't ideal if you have cat allergies. The cottage is a few hundred years old, so comes with the quirks and characteristics old homes have - it creaks sometimes, and has the personality of a cottage that's been around a while. It is full of character, has everything you need, and is very welcoming. As we use the whole house as our own a lot of the time, there are many of our own items in the area. The cupboards in the bathroom are not there for guest use, but for our own storage. This also applies to the shelves up the stairs, the bookcase, and the cupboard of miniatures. Please respect these accordingly. There is a plug in air freshener in both the bedroom and living room - feel free to switch these off if that is your preference. Registration details NA00380F
