Cosy Hidden Off Grid Yurt next to Rydal Water

Come and stay in our cosy yurt, 4 mins walk from the stunning Rydal Water. The yurt is off grid so that you can be completely immersed in nature. It is located in the Central Lake District so there are numerous walks right on the doorstep and for the wild swimmers it's a dream. Rydal offers the lake, waterfalls and rivers, perfect for swimming! Prime location! PLEASE READ ALL DETAILS BELOW BEFORE BOOKING. YOU ARE BOOKING AN OFF GRID EXPERIENCE A LITTLE DIFFERENT TO OTHER AIR BNB STAYS The space The yurt is furnished well and has all the facilities for a wonderful nature glamping experience in an unbeatable private location. It has a choice of a king size bed or two singles as well as a comfortable double sofa bed, small basic kitchenette with double gas stove, wood burner with oven (NEWLY FITTED NOV 24!), kitchen equipment and dining table. Outside there is a patio with furniture and a fire pit and views up to Loughrigg. The yurt has basic electric for lighting and charging your phone, but nothing that takes a lot of charge. We have NO hot running water but there is an outside toilet and cold tap. You can heat the water and there is a bowl and jug if you want to use for a strip wash. I provide one hand towel so you need to bring towels. The lake is also a couple of mins walk if you want to freshen up that way. I provide bedding in form of pillows, sheet and duvet for the first two guests. Extra guests will get sheets and pillows but you will need to bring extra bedding (sleeping bags/ duvets). You may want to bring extra blankets too. There are some extra blankets, but Lake District weather can vary quite a lot so please bring your own if you feel necessary. I recommend you bring warm clothes and blankets or a sleeping bag just incase, in colder weather. For winter bookings you need to know the yurt will be cold without the fire on. You will need warm clothes and to keep the fire going most of the time. Book only if you are hardy and want a winter glamping experience! Please read my winter reviews though, many have found it extremely cosy. There is no wifi in the yurt but you will be connected to nature. 4G generally works though! Guest access You can access the yurt through a side gate and walking up through the shared garden. You will have sole access for the patio outside the yurt throughout your stay. It is a family home so we ask that you respect this. Other things to note Please note we have a cat and a dog who may be around the house and garden. They are generally very friendly and we request you are friendly in return. If you have a dog I ask you keep them on a lead in the garden.
