The Assay Office

Welcome to Goldfield! A unique little town halfway between Reno and Vegas. And a great stop for those traveling to/from Yosemite, Death Valley, and Lake Tahoe. Situated in the heart of Goldfield's Historic District, the Assay Office is within walking distance to everything. Grab your camera and wonder around its historic streets. The Assay Office is a unique stop in a very unique little town! The space The Assay Office is a rustic, historic building in the heart of Goldfield and includes one bedroom with an antique full size bed. The bedroom and kitchen are located in the front for the cabin which is climate controlled, and the living room area is in the back (NOT air tight/sealed or climate controlled). PLEASE NOTE: The back room is NOT sealed (air tight) and NOT heated/cooled. Due to this, it may be dusty and uncomfortable during extreme cold/hot days to utilize. A pull out sofa with a (not so comfy) full size mattress is located in the back living area. If you need the pull out bed in the back room, please let me know in advance so I can have it prepared for your arrival. There is a small modern bathroom (two steps up to enter) with a stand up shower is located in the back room. There is a make up vanity with light up mirror and blow dryer. The kitchen has a working vintage refrigerator/freezer, water kettle, hot plate, coffee maker, and microwave. Coffee, sugar, and creamer are complementary. Its outfitted with basic cooking equipment. Room temp and refrigerated bottles of water are also complementary. The Assay Office is located on the Goldfield Miner's Camp (RV Park). You are free to use the RV park's amenities which include two additional bathrooms/showers, outdoor dinning table, gas bbq, outdoor sink, and communal fire pit. We have included a metal detector for those who which to do some detecting/rockhounding. Enjoy! Guest access Even through the Assay Office is located on the Miner's Camp property, guest will have the entire Assay Office to themselves. Along with their bedroom, the living area, kitchen and bathroom are all private and yours to enjoy. Other things to note Out the backdoor, there is a fire pit, outdoor kitchen (with propane bbq grill) and two additional bathrooms (with showers) for guests to utilize.
