“The South Downs Retreat” is on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Amberley, West Sussex. The self-contained one-bedroom annexe is minutes walk from Amberley train station, with many local facilities such as cosy country pubs and local restaurants on the doorstep. Ideal for those exploring the beautiful towns and countryside of West Sussex, hiking the South Downs Way, or visiting Goodwood events. The space The large, newly refurbished self-contained annexe (31sqm) has a private entrance and off road parking. The open plan lounge is fully equipped with a comfortable sofa, television, small dining/work space and a full kitchen facility, including full laundry. The accommodation is ideal for up to three or four people as the separate bedroom has a double bed, whilst the sofa bed in the lounge could sleep a further adult or two children. High speed fibre broadband is also provided. In good weather you can enjoy your own private outside space with alfresco dining under the pergola. We also have an undercover bike rack if needed. There are also several other lovely pubs, restaurants and cafes within a couple of miles. Local attractions include many hiking trails on the South Downs, Riverside Boat Hire on the Arun river, Amberley Castle, The Chalk Pit museum, the historic town of Arundel and Goodwood. Amberley is just 90 mins on a direct train service from London Victoria so the perfect getaway from the city.
