Gil's Place - Stylish & Dog Friendly

Dog friendly space in Beccles (dogs not to be left on their own). Double bed & sofa bed for lone travellers, couples & young families (not suitable for groups). Built summer 2023. On drive parking, WiFi & courtyard - stylish and comfortable getaway 😊 Walk to town centre in 10mins, local pub in 3mins, outside swimming pool & River Waveney in 15mins & just 5mins to children's park, dog exercise area and Countryside. Nearest beach 15min drive. Great location for exploring! The space Gil's Place is a stylish, comfortable and unique space for you to relax and enjoy. We're a family of four (2 young boys) with a Ginger Tabby (Nala) 🐱 and Cocker Spaniel (Copper) 🐶. It is very peaceful here and we are relatively quiet but we are a family with young children and are connected to Gils Place (our dining room is the other side of the locked fire door). We've tried our best to ensure minimal sound travels and your space remains quiet throughout your stay. Gil's Place has a double bed and a double sofa bed, there is a curtain which can be pulled along side the double bed for a bit of privacy and separation. There is a dining table which can sit 4, kitchen (fridge, cooker, hob, toaster, kettle & microwave) with a breakfast bar and 2 stools. There is a rail for hanging clothes, a sideboard with drawers and two small cupboards to pop clothes into and a storage cupboard. The shower room has plenty of storage space for your bathroom essentials 🪥🧴and contains a drawer of 'forget me dids'! Outside is a courtyard with table and chairs. Parking is on the driveway immediately in front of the accommodation and all of this is accessed through your the side gated entrance. THINGS TO NOTE: Doggos are not to be left on their own, other than a quick pop to the shop and not go on the bed 🐶. Our boiler which serves Gil's Place and our home is in the kitchen and can be turned off between 9pm & 9am 💤 Guest access You have full access to Gils Place and private courtyard area. We may on occasion require access through the side gate but we will of course make sure this is convenient for you should we need to. We would never just walk through! Other things to note Why is it called 'Gil's Place'? Gil's Place is an ancillary extension built on the side of our family home. It was built for Suzy's mum (Gil - short for Ghislaine) who suffered severely for over 20years with her mental health and who required caring for. Devastatingly Gil passed away, unexpectedly in April of 2023, just before the extension was finished. We have named our Airbnb in her memory and wish to help raise awareness to the importance of mental health care and the impact it has on not only your mental well-being but also your physical health. A percentage of our Airbnb proceeds are donated to Mind to help others in need.
