The heart of our comfortable stone cottage is the large, well equipped kitchen/diner/family room, with plenty of space in which to gather round, eat and chat. there are four spacious bedrooms, each with countryside views. From the top, you will be looking out on ancient trees in which kites now roost. Spacious and comfortable lounge with bay window, overlooking the country lane. Smart TV & WiFi. There is a modern downstairs cloakroom, with bathroom on the first floor and large ensuite on the second. The family room leads straight on to a garden terrace, with seating, adjacent to the Hornton stone walled landscaped garden. There is ample parking, at the front of the house, on Ells Lane and in front of the garage. Bloxham is one of the top rated historic Oxfordshire villages and, unusually, is still fully functional with shops, pubs and cafes within walking distance. There is a lovely garden centre and cafe serving homemade cakes almost immediately across from the house. Step into the past. From there you can drive within minutes to Broughton Castle, the historic home of the Fiennes family. There are many scenic local walks and cycle rides. Directly from our house you will have easy access to the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside, world famous towns and cities, such as Stratford on Avon and Leamington Spa, and the heart of the Cotswolds. Turn left and you will soon be driving through beautiful through honey stone villages. Visit Chipping Norton and Chipping Campden and browse art shops and antiques. Batsford Arboretum and historic gardens such as Hidcote and Kiftsgate Court are well worth a visit. And the renowned Whichford Pottery, with its royal connections, is only a stone's throw away, with the Cotswold Distillery close by. The North Cotswolds has so much to offer, whatever your interest. History, gourmet food, country houses, castles and manor houses. Glorious honey coloured villages with wonderful walks. Cycling or motor racing. But we must not forget that the jewel in the Crown is possibly Blenheim Palace, which holds many events throughout the year and is closely linked to the local interest in cars and motor racing.
