Bumble Grove

Private with outdoor space. Bumble Grove is really special, it is a rural lodge on a smallholding in the heart of the South Hams in Devon. Bumble Grove is a hideaway haven overlooking peaceful countryside, with far reaching views towards Dartmoor. It provides spacious and tranquil accommodation in an exceptional place within easy reach of places of interest, spectacular beaches, doorstep walks, historic towns and the wilds of Dartmoor. The space Bumble Grove has a double bedroom and a twin bedroom plus a foldaway bed in the lounge area. There is a shower room with toilet and basin, plus an en-suite basin and loo off the double bedroom. The living area has a gas cooker and microwave oven in the well furnished kitchen area plus built in fridge freezer, toaster and kettle. The comfortable sitting area has a corner sofa and coffee table, plus there is also a dining table with 4 chairs. Gas central heating is throughout and an electric fire in the living area with a TV. Mobile signal is good, but broadband / WiFi is not connected Guest access Guests will have the use of the whole lodge and fenced garden area, which has room for car parking and sitting out and is secure for young children and dogs. Patio doors from the lounge open onto the decking with table and chairs and a sun umbrella. There is also a lockable shed which can be used by guests to store items (e.g. for drying clothing or to ease space in vehicles) during the stay. The steps up to the lodge door mean that it is not suitable for wheelchair access at present. A kettle BBQ is available on request for use on the grass area. Other things to note The surrounding fields are owned by the hosts and there is access to extensive rural footpaths and quiet lanes from the accommodation. The local village with pub and church 1/2 a mile away, with basic shop and garage 2 miles and supermarkets and other facilities nearest at Kingsbridge (5 miles) or Totnes and Dartmouth (9 miles). Beaches are 4 miles and Dartmoor 10 miles.
