“The Lady Jinx” is a newly renovated 3 BR/2.5 Bath, Princess Anne-style Home built in 1895. This 2-story has tons of character from the detailed wood trim to the stain glass windows to the original interior doors to the gorgeous wood floors. The home is located in downtown La Grange, the only town in America that has an active train running along it’s Main Street, & is within walking distance to restaurants, shopping boutiques, museums, parks and entertainment with being only one block away! When you enter the home, you are greeted with tall ceilings and beautiful trim work in the foyer. Enjoy your morning coffee or tea in the bright sunroom where you can start your day with lots of Vitamin D! You can make some great meals in the updated kitchen that has quartz countertops and new appliances. The gorgeous dining room has tons of natural light and large dining table where you can enjoy those delicious meals. The cozy living room is a great place to partake in your favorite evening cocktail and relax with some good conversation or watch your favorite show on the smart TV. The large laundry room and accessible half bath round out the first floor. All 3 spacious bedrooms (1 King/2 Queens) and 2 full bathrooms are on the 2nd floor. Smart TV’s are in every bedroom along with USB ports, oscillating fans, and luggage racks. All TV's have a Roku streaming device which can be used with your Netflix, Amazon Prime Video or cable streaming service (No cable service). The large primary full bathroom has tons of space for multiple people to “get ready” at once with multiple mirrors. There is a large 54’x34’ gravel parking area in the back that can easily fit multiple cars which is accessible by alley. There is also complimentary street parking. We recommend unloading at the front door at street parking and then pulling around the back for long term parking. Don’t forget to enjoy the outdoor patio on the rear of the home with furniture and grill to use. Complimentary Wifi is available. The home is great for wedding weekends, girls trips, guys getaways, couples adventures and much more! Groceries are 4 minute drive/1 mile away. Uber and Lyft are available. This house was built in 1895, so please keep in mind some aspects are different than current standard homes such as the stairs and windows are not operable. Also, the front and rear exterior walkways are slightly uneven. The fireplaces are not in working order and cannot be used. Our property is non-smoking. Due to allergies, no pets allowed on property or in home. Ring doorbell at front door along with ring flood light at rear door. We recommend keeping the upstairs curtains closed during the warmer months. Heat does rise in this home. If you do need more privacy in the dining room, living room and all bedrooms, the curtains can close. The neighbors have 2 cute dogs. Hopefully, you will get to meet them!
