Obbe View is a peaceful shoreline cottage, in the beautiful crofting community of Lower Breakish, with stunning views of Broadford Bay, Beinn na Caillich mountain and the islands of Rassay and Pabay. Spectacular sunrises and sunsets can be seen across the Inner Sound and Broadford Bay. Relax on the decking and watch the wildlife whilst the tide goes in and out. The space Less than 200 metres from the shore, this cottage has panoramic views and is equipped with everything you will need for your stay. There is a large decking and shared access to a gated garden that leads directly to the beach. If you are lucky you will even spot the local wildlife! The ground floor boasts underfloor heating and a log fire to keep you warm and toasty on those cold nights. There is an open plan lounge and dining area with large windows making the most of the spectacular views. The lounge is light and spacious and perfect to relax, read, watch TV or play some of the board games provided for you. The modern kitchen is well stocked with utensils and crockery and contains ample storage space with built-in appliances for your use. There is a spacious porch area with lots of room to store muddy boots and walking gear after a busy day of exploring! There are 3 bedrooms, 2 upstairs and one downstairs, all of which are furnished with comfortable beds and large wardrobes with plenty of space for your belongings. The master bedroom boasts a skylight balconette window to allow you to view the garden and beach from above. There is a spacious area at the top of the stairs that can act as a a cosy corner for you or your furry friend, a play area for your children or be used to store your suitcases. The cottage offers accessibility options for those who need a little extra help via a downstairs bedroom and bathroom with a step free walk-in shower and built-in shower chair. There is also a second washroom with a toilet and basin upstairs and we can provide a 'Shnuggle' baby bath available upon request. Guest access You will have private access to the property and shared access to the garden and beach. The garden is shared with two small cabins that are also on the property grounds. There is space for a maximum of 2 cars to park at the property. Other things to note Conveniently located 5 minutes from Broadford town centre and 10 minutes from the Skye Bridge, the cottage is perfectly located to act as a base for exploring the island with easy access to all popular tourist attractions. Obbe View is part of the crofting township and tranquil setting of Lower Breakish. Within walking distance, there is the lovely Lean To Café where they serve speciality coffee & snacks or take a stroll to the Red Skye Restaurant to relax and enjoy a creative dining experience after a day of exploring. Enjoy a visit to The Misty Bottle, a craft bottle shop that sells whiskey, gin & craft beer and also offers whiskey tasting sessions. The village of Broadford is 3 miles away and has all the amenities needed including a supermarket, 24 hour petrol station, ATM, Post Office, medical centre, gift shops, cafés, restaurants, pubs and hotels. For the more active among you, there are various boat trips, hill walks, climbing locations, kayaking, canoeing and cycling. For a more relaxing experience, there are various walks and beautiful beaches such as Ashaig Beach, which is a short distance away. Explore the rest of the island and discover the rich history of the Highlands at the Eilean Donan, Armadale & Dunvegan Castles. Visit the famous Whiskey Distilleries and relax with a dram at Talisker, Toravaig & Rassay.
