Secluded cottage on the Waal, Veermanshuisje.

Experience a romantic Christmas in my secluded cottage on the dike. Because of the dike project (this dike section is almost completed, there is no work), there is no continuous traffic, so it is now even quieter than usual. Come and enjoy views over the Waal and perhaps snow, which gives the whole an Anton Pieck-like atmosphere. The space The thatched cozy cottage is freely and quietly located in the middle of the Betuwe nature and has a lovely stove. Special is the small staircase (not suitable for people who have difficulty moving or are heavy!) to the sleeping loft, it comes from the pulpit from the church in Varik, and the floor: these are cheese boards from the Waag in Alkmaar. You can still see the shape of the round cheeses on it. I strive to reflect the atmosphere of the surroundings, authentic and romantic, in the cottage and garden, so please do not expect extensive modern equipment. If you have any special requests in advance, please do not hesitate to ask me. Guest access You have a detached cottage with private garden with sun loungers, 2 seats, a simple charcoal BBQ, and views of nature, but if I am not there you can also use the south garden and the flower garden and sometimes the terrace behind the main house (with beautiful sunset!). I will inform you of the latter in advance. If you need more comfortable chairs outside, you can use the wicker chairs inside if you bring the cushions inside at night! Other things to note In the Veermanshuisje there is a house ABC with all the info. The magazine Pluk also offers you a lot of "what to do" info.
