WindSpirit is a beautiful cabin tucked away in the Cristo Vista area 8 miles northwest of Westcliffe. Constructed in 2023, the home’s floor to ceiling glass windows bring the view into every living space. Step out on to the wrap around deck, have your coffee and listen to the Aspens in the breeze, watch for wildlife and chill. This beautiful cabin is surrounded by aspen and pine trees. Photos faintly capture the scene, but the effect of seclusion and wilderness is enhanced by the heavily wooded area while still capturing great sun. The owners work remotely so if you need to connect, you’ll enjoy their high speed Starlink Wi-Fi and smart tv. The owners also like to cook and entertain so you’ll find the open concept kitchen/living room and deck ideal and wonderfully equipped including quartz counters, stainless steel appliances, VitaMix blender, Kitchen Aid mixer and a thoughtful complement of cookware. The coffee bar includes a Kuerig and a supply of K-Cups as well as a grinder and French Press. Plan a stop into Westcliffe’s own gourmet coffee shop, Peregrine. The main floor is heated with cove heat as well as a pellet stove and has a full bath, master bedroom and utility room with washer. The dryer is located in secondary storage. A Lazyboy Temperpedic single sleeper sofa adds additional sleeping space on the main floor. The staircase leads to a 12 foot high peak loft overlooking the main floor and the wall of windows. At the top of the stairs is a half bath, two twins that convert to a king with available king Temperpedic topper and a Lane Venture chaise lounge that adjusts for a single sleeper. This area feels like you are literally in the tops of the trees and is a favorite nap, reading or game room area. The cabin is situated on 6 acres which you are welcome to hike with cautions typical of remote wilderness. Carry bear spray, make noise as you walk. Never leave any food, trash, empty cans or wrappers outside. Clean the grill thoroughly after each use. We have a local contact for any failures of plumbing and electrical systems.
