The space We have 2 large living spaces: a classic Tahoe great room with open floor plan, 10-person dining table, vaulted wood ceiling, and floor-to-ceiling windows, and a cozy media room/bunk room perfect with a large comfy sectional for watching movies and gaming (PS4 and Switch dock included). The bedroom layout works great for 2-3 families with kids, a group of adult friends, or an executive retreat. The house is kid and baby friendly, including pack 'n play, high chair, baby gate, and children's kitchenware. Perfect for working from home with gigabit broadband and wired Eero routers throughout the house, including an office nook with electric sit-to-stand desk and monitor, and multiple common spaces suitable for working. The house overlooks Donner Lake and has stunning alpine views. We are also about 20 minutes away from Palisades and Northstar, and 10 minutes from Sugar Bowl. The King and Queen beds have comfortable Casper and Tuft and Needle mattresses, and beds are made with hotel-style linens. The kitchen is fully supplied with cooking utensils and pantry staples such as spices and oils. Guest access Guests have private access to the entire house except for a few locked owner cabinets. Other things to note Our permit allows a maximum of 10 adults and children 13+. Additional children under 13 are allowed. WINTER WEATHER WARNING (November-April): * Our house is at the top of a small hill overlooking Donner Lake. Local roads and our driveways are plowed once or twice a day during storms. 4WD or AWD and chains (or winter tires) are REQUIRED to navigate our local roads safely in the winter. Outdoor furniture may not be available in the winter months (October - May). One lesson we've learned about the great outdoors is the frequent requirement to wipe down the deck furniture. Despite our efforts to maintain the utmost cleanliness, you may need to wipe down the outdoor table, chairs, and any other outdoor seating. Summer pollen can accumulate within a matter of hours. Our house is occasionally visited by our 2 cats. Every surface in the house is cleaned, vacuumed, and all bedding changed between guests, but if you have a severe cat allergy you might have a reaction.
