The space Stillwoods Cottage is a scenic 2.5 hour drive from the GTA and 2 hour drive from Ottawa, located in Madawaska Valley, Renfrew County. If you love luxurious accommodations, untouched nature, hiking, skating, skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling then this is the place for you. Offering unobstructed views of Madawaska Highlands, a massive swimming pond, surrounded by boreal forest and walking trails, this 4 acre secluded property has the best of nature, all in one location. Timber Cottage - Sleeps 4 The newly built custom Timber House, features an open concept fully equipped kitchen. The beautifully appointed main living space with 22 foot exposed timber frame, and full height windows with picturesque views of the pond, surrounded by forest and view of the Madawaska Highland hills in the distance. The living space features a wood burning fireplace, making it a cozy and inviting space to play games, enjoy a movie or a glass of wine from the bar. Other features include: a dining room that seats up to 10 people, powder room and laundry room. The primary bedroom features a King bed with full ensuite bathroom, a private sunroom and access to the covered porch. The private loft bedroom is situated on the 2nd floor, features a Queen bed, a large skylight and windows overlooking the property. The kitchen is fully equipped with The living area features a hanging 14 foot cedar conoe and is surrounded by windows that overlook the gardens and surrounding forest. The primary bedroom features a King bed with a gas fireplace, a sitting area and ensuite bathroom. The secondary bedroom includes 2 Queen beds with a sitting area. Both bedrooms have amazing views of the pond, gardens and the surrounding forest. Pine Cabin - Sleeps 2 - AVAILABLE MAY to OCTOBER The cozy bunkie is perfect for couples wanting time away from the group. The cabin is perfectly designed for nature lovers and with a minimalist in mind. The cabin includes a sitting porch that overlooks the beautifully landscaped pond and has an amazing view of the surrounding birch trees. Upon entering the suite, a comfortable Queen sized bed, a wood burning stove, and a 2 piece bathroom greets you (not available in the winter season). The half-acre aerated pond complete with a waterfall is perfect for cooling off, lounging on a floaty or discovering nature. Available for your enjoyment is a barbecue and outdoor eating area for 10. Soak up the sun and the stars lounging in the Muskoka chairs surrounding the fire pit, enjoy the beautiful rock and flower garden, hike along the trails in the forest, bird watch or just sit back and enjoy the beautiful scenic views. The property also includes several outdoor games for both children and adults, alike. Endless options await you, whether you want a quiet, leisurely stay or you prefer to participate in a wide range of outdoor games and activities on water and land. Guest access Enjoy the whole property, whether we are hosting one guest or 12 guest they have access to all the amenities the property has to offer and they will be the only guest on the property. They will have the option to stay at either the Timber Cottage, Carriage House or Pine Cabin. Parking Plenty of parking available and the property is gated and well lit. Other things to note **Stillwoods Cottage offers full service: linens, towels, toiletries and house supplies** **We require a $1000 deposit for all large groups that is required the 12 hours prior to your stay and will be returned 12 after hours after your stay **
