Deers Acre Lodge, Dartmoor with Wood-fired Hot tub

Deers Acre is a bespoke Scandinavian style Lodge which sits within the grounds of a private country estate. Surrounded by lawns, trees and wildflowers, the Lodge enjoys far reaching views across rural Devon. Located within Dartmoor National Park, footpaths lead directly from the estate up onto the moor itself or down into the Moorland Village of Sticklepath with its pub, cafe, store and the National Trusts Finch Foundry. Deers Acre makes a perfect base for couples to explore the whole of Devon. The space The Lodge sleeps up to two people on a king-size mezzanine mattress. Guests should note that the sleeping area is accessed via a ladder. The kitchenette consists of a fridge, two gas hobs, a full size sink with hot and cold running water. There is a shower, toilet and towels + toiletries are provided. In the main living space there is a dining table, sofa , radio with Bluetooth connectivity and TV with bifold doors leading out onto the deck. The deck area is perfect for watching the setting sun in the Summer months and our guests have use of a fire pit/grill and two reclining chairs. A box of logs, kindling and paper is provided. A private parking space is located 100m from the Lodge. Guest access There is a private deck area and lawn for Lodge guests only. There is also a large communal lawn (100m from lodge) with a picnic table and hammock (in the summer) down beside the lake. There is a wood-fired hot tub which guests can book a private session in direct with the owner (one session free for Lodge guests). There is a private parking space on tarmac with turning area 100m from the Lodge itself. There is a flat tarmac and stone path from the parking bay to the doorstep of the Lodge. Other things to note Guests should note that the sleeping area is accessed via a ladder. HOT TUB INFO: Lodge guests are entitled to one free (90 minute) private session in the wood-fired hot tub which sits beside a lake within the estate 150m from the Lodge. The hot tub has a deck, lights, jets and bubbles. The specific time/day of your session can be arranged directly with the owner prior to or upon arrival. We prepare the Hot Tub all for you and feed the stove to get it up to temperature. We recommend bringing a gown/dryrobe and slip on/off shoes to get to and from the tub. There is a possibility of booking a second session in the hot tub for a charge of £25. PARKING INFO: Lodge guests have a large, reserved, private parking space (on tarmac) with a turning circle approx 100m from the Lodge. There is a level, flat, tarmac/stone pathway all the way from the parking place to the Lodge doorstep.
