Close to an excellent pub, the cottage is surrounded by beautiful heathland, set by a picturesque village green and benefits from front and rear gardens and a summerhouse to enjoy. There are lots of opportunities here for numerous wildlife and dog walks on the Suffolk Wildlife Trust heath and marsh commons, accessed straight from the door. Both the village pub and shop are within easy walking distance and there is a bus stop close by with services into Southwold and Halesworth. Your stay begins by entering the delightful picket gate and walled front garden which is a suntrap in the warmer months. A spacious sitting area features two comfortable sofas, a Smart television, and inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove. The open-plan kitchen and dining space is complete with a large table to seat guests and friends. With skylight above, the area is airy and bright. The fully equipped kitchen means it is possible to prepare meals if you prefer to stay in. The ground floor is finished with a cloakroom area and a separate shower room with underfloor heating, basin, and WC. Upstairs comprises of two bedrooms - a master double and a twin - with clothes storage on the landing area. The summerhouse in the terraced rear garden has a wood burning stove for cool evenings and is furnished with a large corner sofa and chairs. The rear patio extends to a lawned garden where you will find the summerhouse. The front garden has further seating and a lock-up storage shed for bicycles. Located opposite the village green in the picturesque hamlet of Blackheath near Wenhaston, set within the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This cottage is the perfect location to explore East Suffolk, offering a tranquil heathland spot to rest and enjoy after all your adventures! Additional information: One small well behaved dog welcome (small additional charge). Please note, there are a number of small gaps through to the adjacent property, so dogs should be kept on leads in the garden. Some of the rooms have low ceilings, so the cottage is not ideally suitable for anyone taller than six feet. The stairs are quite steep but there is a handrail. The immediate neighbouring property has ducks and chickens. Guest access Ground floor: Sitting room With two, two-seater sofas, coffee table, Smart television and wood burning stove. Kitchen Dining room With a large dining table with chairs and benched seating for six guests. Electric Panel heater, Electric oven and hob, microwave, toaster, fridge, separate wine fridge and washing machine. Cloakroom/Shower room With space for coats and boots. Shower, wash basin, heated towel rail, underfloor heating and WC. Stairs to the first floor First floor: Master bedroom With views over the village green, a 4'6'' double bed with chair and bedside table and a selection of books. Bedroom two With two 3' single beds, standard lamp, and shelves with hanging space. Outside: Rear lawned terraced garden.
