The Lodge offers 8 bedrooms and 10 full bathrooms, with each room having their own private bath. The Luna)Blu Lodge in Bethel ME (4 miles from Sunday River) offers a unique experience for our guests. The Lodge was previously run as an Inn with a fully functional restaurant and bar. What this means for you, is that you have a commercial kitchen with a bar and plenty of space/tables in the restaurant to have large family meals and get togethers! The stove has 6 burners, a gridle, and two ovens, what could be better?! The kitchen also has a large prep station, it is fully stocked with cooking and serving equipment, utensils, large dishwasher, and plenty of refrigerators! The bar has 2 refrigerators, a sink, ice maker, plenty of glassware, and a kegerator/tap that will hold 2 1/4 kegs or one 1/2 keg. There are also two half baths in the restaurant. In the back of The Lodge you will find a large firepit with plenty of log benches to sit on and get cozy while you enjoy the warmth of the fire and views of Locke Mountain. The entire Lodge has brand new central heating and air conditioning. Here’s everything the Lodge will offer; Dream Maker is the attached “innkeepers suite” at the LunaBlu Lodge and offers a private 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit with a full kitchen/living room/dining room. Room 1 offers a king bed and full bathroom (no tub). Room 2 has a queen bed and full bathroom with Jacuzzi tub. Ruby Palace is the 3rd floor suite at the LunaBlu Lodge and offers a private 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit. Room 1 offers a king bed, full futon, and full bathroom (no tub). Room 2 has a queen bed and full bathroom (no tub). Emerald City is a 2nd floor suite at the Lodge and offers a private 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit. Room 1 offers a queen bed and full bathroom (shower/tub). Room 2 has 2 twin beds and full bathroom (shower/tub). Rogue Angel is on the 2nd floor at the Lodge and offers a private 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom (tub/shower). 1 king bed here. Lights Out is on the 2nd floor at the Lodge and offers a private 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom (tub/shower). 1 queen bed here. See pictures and video for more data. The LunaBlu Lodge is 4.9 miles (7 minutes) form Sunday River, and is on the Mountain Explorer shuttle route. It is also 8 miles from Mount Abram Happy to connect you with local catering, live music, a selection of beer kegs, breakfast pastry delivery, and so on. We are happy to provide pillows, sheets, towels, linens, blankets, and so on for every room. We start you off with 2 rolls of toilet paper in every bathroom and a few rolls of paper towels in the kitchen. We do not provide any soap or shampoo, please bring what you need. We offer contactless check in/check out at the Luna)Blu Lodge. The door codes and all check in instructions will be provided when final payment is made and one week before check in. If you need anything at all or have any questions, we are always available by phone, email, and text. All rooms have strong WiF and a TV with a Roku box. If you need anything at all, you can walk to the 24 hour Irving Gas Station (.3 miles) or the Good Food Store. For our Tesla driving guests, the Irving Station has 6 Tesla Superchargers. If you’re looking for some food: Pete’s Griddle is right across the street and your closest option. Downtown Bethel is 1.3 miles away and offers several options. All SundayRiver has to offer is less than 8 minutes away. North Conway is 30 miles from the Inn, while Jackson is 27 mi away. Oxford Casino is 40 min away. If you need anything that you can’t find locally, WalMart is 30 minutes away. History of the Lodge Over the years, The Lodge has changed hands multiple times and has been used in many different ways. It was originally a family residence, and then became a general store. Years ago, the original front door of the store was found on the roadside wall with old writings still visible indicating bushels of corn sold to customers. In the 1920's it became the Mayville Lodge, named after where it was located in the village of Bethel. Two rooms with a single shared bathroom were available for rent and meals were included. The Lodge housed visitors to the fairground, which was once located where the town airport, Colonel Dyke Field is now situated.
