Beautiful New England farmhouse in a quiet location, surrounded by fields and forests! This historic home is truly a treasure-elegant but casual- the perfect place for your family to relax after a day exploring the area. Access to hiking trails right from the property. Enjoy gorgeous mountain views from the spacious porch or have a fire in the backyard. Fully furnished with period pieces and some very comfy new beds. Rural area but still close to conveniences and many attractions. This wonderful place, "Sky Meadow", sits on many acres of fields and forest. The Ice Gulch hiking trail goes right past the barn into the woods. The original farmhouse was built in the late 1800's and the new (west) section was added on later. The whole place used to sit up by the road, close to the barn, as was typical in New England, and was moved in the 1960's. Quaint and charming are words that past guests have used to describe it. Guests have access to the whole house and entire grounds while you are here. (5 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen, dining room, living room, porch) The barn is currently used for owner storage space and is not for guest use. If you have a smaller party and would like to rent a smaller part of the house, let me know. I live a mile down the road from the farm, and am around most of the time. I am available by phone, text, email, and sometimes will be stopping in to do work in the yard. I really enjoy the hospitality part of hosting, and want our guests to have the best stay possible. Feel free to reach out with any questions about the place or things in the area! The Randolph Hill Road is the heart of the vibrant hiking community of the Randolph Mountain Club and is adjacent to the 10,700 acre Randolph Community Forest. The early 1900's started the construction of the summer cottages, which were the base camps for many of the early path-makers. Most of those early cottages exist to this day. During the day, the views of the mountains are spectacular, and on a clear night the view of the heavens is equally as spectacular. Bring your binoculars for all seasons. This farmhouse is located on a dead end country road where many residents walk each day to enjoy the mountain views. There is parking available on site. The front lawn is available for games of croquet and frisbee or just for relaxing and watching the light change on the mountains of the Presidential Range. You will be 10 minutes to Gorham, with stores and restaurants. This is the type of place that you will want to keep coming back to. When people start spending time in Randolph, they see what a unique and special place it is, and often want to return. It's a quiet, peaceful location but you can be at many attractions and conveniences in a matter of minutes. We are 15 minutes to Santa's Village. 30 minutes to Bretton Woods Ski Area, 40 minutes to Wildcat Ski Area, and only 20 minutes to Great Glenn, where they have X-C skiing and a tubing hill.
