Nestled in the foothills of Eryri (Snowdonia), this well equipped shepherd hut is a magical country retreat for couples wanting to relax & unwind. With stunning views over the Menai Straits you can enjoy the sunset then star gaze around the firepit. For those looking for adventure, it is a perfect base for exploring the magnificent landscape, climbing Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) or for visiting the many tourist attractions such as Caernarfon Castle, Port Meirion, Bounce Below, Zipworld etc. The space We have endeavoured to provide as many home comforts as possible in this cosy space. Most huts have wood burners but ours has the luxury of underfloor heating too so it is always warm during colder spells There is a dining table with comfy seat and back cushions on two benches with storage beneath. The table folds down and a double bed with a sprung mattress lowers to provide the sleeping area. The window in the roof directly above the bed allows you to star gaze on a clear night whilst you blissfully drift off to sleep. The kitchen has a two ring electric hob, microwave oven and small fridge. We provide a toaster, kettle, pans, oven trays, cutlery, crockery, a variety of drinking glasses, cooking utensils including garlic press, bottle opener, can opener, serving spoons, ladles, scissors, fish slice, chopping boards etc. There is a small wardrobe, a small table top ironing board & iron. We provide a hairdryer. The woodburning stove can be lit on chilly evenings and a gas firelighter is left for your use. The television is wall mounted and has an Amazon stick. There is WIFI in the hut and you will be provided with the code. For convenience, there is a USB port for charging your devices. The flooring is antique oak effect laminate and the windows have curtains and blinds for privacy. There is a separate shower room with a spacious shower cubicle, wash hand basin in an oak vanity unit, toilet and heated towel rail. Vinyl flooring. Outside Space The hut has it's own private patio and garden area with a bistro style table and chairs, outdoor lighting and a firepit with comfy chairs to relax in. Cushions are provided. Barbecue tools are provided. We have a utility room which has a washer and dryer which can be used for a small fee if required. Guest access The Shepherd Hut has it's own patio and garden area. As the property is a small holding with livestock, we would ask that guests do not access other areas of the grounds without permission. Other things to note We are happy to provide picnic baskets for you to take out for the day. We can serve afternoon tea in our walled garden by prior arrangement. For special occasions, we are able to provide birthday cakes, balloons etc with reasonable notice. Please ask for further details.
