Licuala: Tropical House (300m to beach)

Licuala's Tropical House was built guided by the philosophy of simplicity and minimalism, inspired to maximise the use of space. This house sleeps 3 as the large daybed downstairs doubles up as a single bed. This is one of five hideaway homes on the estate. Each house is hidden by its own flora and fauna. Our homes were designed to give a sense of privacy and space, bringing you close to nature to rest and be inspired by. Kabalana beach is a 5min walk away. The space Tucked away in the corner of the estate, the tropical house is the tallest with a mezzanine bedroom and no curtains or blinds. The clear glass floor to ceiling frontage provides an unobstructed view of the lush greenery, bringing nature up close and personal. This self contained Tropical house sleeps 3 as the large daybed downstairs doubles up as a single bed. The semi equipped kitchen comes with a gas stove to cook your favourite meals. This house features an indoor shower with hot water and a private tiled patio with plunge pool. Our garden is a large landscaped estate designed for you to experience the beautiful nature of Sri Lanka. Expect monkeys to visit you. Peacocks and all sorts of jungle birds come to hang out by the rice paddy throughout the day. Other things to note This is our only bungalow with a tv, using Chrome cast. You will be able to watch YouTube and Netflix. Please note this bungalow is NOT generator backed, which means there will be no electricity during power cuts. We have one dog and 3 cats living on the property. They are very friendly. Our helpful staff can assist you with buying fresh fish and produce as well as cooking for the BBQ. We can help arrange airport transfers. Also, Tuktuk or car hires to take you around when here. Surf lessons, tours and personal services (massage & private yoga lessons) can also be organised for you.
