Studio Retreat

About this Space Our cozy Studio Retreat is nestled in the woods on the 2nd floor of our detached garage, 5 min outside the charming village of Bristol. Bristol has several very good restaurants, shops, an art gallery and a library. You'll find hiking, biking trails and swimming. Middlebury is 15 min away and offers art galleries, breweries, a winery, shops, restaurants, hiking, skiing and more. Burlington is 45 min away, Sugarbush & Mad River Glen ski areas are just 30 min away. Lots to do! The space Completely renovated space, finished April 2023. A comfortable, colorful space, full of our original wood crafts, prints and paintings. After a day of exploring, you can relax with a book, play a game, get some work done. The floor plan is open, has comfy chairs, counter and stools, table and chairs, kitchen, bathroom with shower. The queen bed is tucked in its own area with a partial wall separating it from the common living space. The Studio Retreat is a perfect place to spend a long weekend, a week or a month. You can enjoy sitting in the Adirondack chairs outside, make yourselves at home. Every season is worth experiencing, the guest book provided will give you ideas on what to do and we can point you in the right direction. Guest access Please park in front of our garage below the Guest Parking sign. Our yellow house is located next door on the right. To access your private entrance, walk around to the back, enter through the unlocked back door of the dark brown garage and head up the stairs to the locked Studio door. The door code will be provided to you a few days before your arrival. Other things to note The 2nd floor Studio space is all yours to enjoy. Please remove your shoes, you'll find a basket with slippers below the bench just inside the Studio. We do have a workshop and a storage bay on the first floor of the garage, you might hear us coming and going, but we will be respectful of your privacy. We are unable to accept pets in the Studio Retreat but you will no doubt get to meet our friendly golden doodle Rosie. We want your stay to be just right, so please feel free to text or call us with any questions. If you happen to have an EV, we have a level 2 charging station available for your use during your stay.
